I’ve always liked Huey Lewis & The News. This 30th Anniversary CD of Sports is totally remastered and sounds great! This is not a “Greatest Hits” CD although Sports includes some of this group’s biggest hits. Back in 1983, Sports sold 10 million copies! The whole business model for pop music has changed now. It’s rare when a CD sells that many copies now with iTunes changing listening habits. But if you’re a fan of Eighties music, Sports will feed your nostalgia. Check out Hyey and Gwyneth singing “Cruisin'” below.

One of the few live concerts we’ve attended but it was 25 years ago. Very enjoyable. The Neville Brothers opened for them and almost stole the show.
I agree, George, great stuff. We saw them last year with Joe Cocker at Jones Beach. I would also recommend their Soulsville from 2010 but I’m sure you have it already.
Patti, I like both Huey Lewis and the Nevilles! That must have been a great concert!
You’re right, Jeff. I have SOULSVILLE and play it often. Wonderful music! And I love Joe Cocker’s music, too!
I played this one a lot when it was new, and still like many of the songs. Too bad they chose to put 5 alternate takes (or live versions) on this CD, that’s just filler. If I were going to buy some HL&News, I’d pick 4 or 5 songs off iTunes.
Rick, I have some GREATEST HITS collections of Huey Lewis and The News that sound great, too!
We have the Greatest Hits too. I’d recommend that one.
I have a couple of GREATEST HITS collections by Huey Lewis and The News, Jeff, because different songs show up on difference CDs.
