The Ravens have had success against the Patriots in the Playoffs, but I don’t think that’s going to happen this year. Tom Brady has offensive weapons and a good defense this time around. I think the Patriots will cover the 7-point spread. In the second game, Panthers vs. Seahawks, the Seahawks are favored by an eye-popping 11 points! I actually think the Seahawks are good enough to cover the spread, too. What do you think?
No, the Seahawks won’t cover the spread. They will, unfortunately, probably win the game.
I see some people are predicting the Ravens will win but I’d have to go with the Patriots. I think the Seattle-Carolina game might be closer than predicted but I can’t see the Seahawks losing at home.
I wouldn’t put money on either game.
Randy, a lot depends on which Cam Newton shows up for this game: the Good Cam Newton or the Bad Cam Newton.
Jeff, I seldom wager Real Money on sporing events. My sister has believed for years that all Professional Sporting events are fixed.
Then your sister would be wrong. I expect the Seahawks to win, but they may not make it look pretty. The spread I saw was 10 1/2, by the way. My call is still New England vs. Settle / Green Bay in the Super Bowl, but a Denver-New England game might change that.
Rick, conspiracy theories about the NFL abound. Historically, this round of the NFL Playoffs features few upsets.
I’m wearing my Seahawks sweatshirt, so that should tip the scales.
Bob, someone is wearing their Ravens sweatshirt because they just moved down the field and scored a TD on their opening drive!
Well, that was exciting. It really looked like the Ravens would pull it out as they could run and the Patriots couldn’t, but Brady did it again.
