Yesterday, I correctly predicted the Colts would defeat the Chiefs. And I predicted the Saints would win their first away Playoff game. Today, the Cincinnati Bengals are favored by 7 points over the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers are a chameleon team: some weeks they look great, other weeks they just don’t show up. I’m going with the underrated Bengals in this one.
Although San Francisco 49ers are favored by 2 1/2 points over the Green Bay Packers, I don’t think this game will be that close. The Niners are vastly superior. The weather may play a role in this game, but I still think SF will prevail. Who do you like in today’s games?
Hey, I agreed with you yesterday so why change up today? The Chargers could possibly win – anyway can possibly win – but I think they are the weakest team in the playoffs and are probably lucky even be here. I’d be surprised if they won today. The Niners are a lot better than Green Bay (who finally started looking like a playoff team in the second half in Chicago) but who knows what the weather will do? Definitely San Francisco in this one.
Jeff, great minds think alike. But unless Philip Rivers channels Andrew Luck, I don’t see the Bolts beating the Bengals. Art Scott is concerned about the Polar Vortex affecting the Niners.
PREFERENCE
I want the Packers to win. The Seahawks are already going to have to play the Saints next week, I sure don’t want them – assuming they win that game – to have to play the Niners the week after that! Those are the three best teams in the NFC, for cryin’ out loud.
REALITY
I think the Niners will win, and I think the Bengals will have a good time whupping the Bolts.
It’s a half hour to game time……..
Man, the Bengals’ game plan sucked and their execution was worse. They really plumbed the depths of ineptitude today.
Rick, the Bolts took it to the Bungles in the Second Half. The Niners vs. Packers game is still in doubt.
Jeff, you’re right. The Bengals allowed 20 unanswered points in the Second Half.
Once again turnovers influence the outcome. Well, Chargers won and so did the Niners. So San Francisco goes to Carolina and the Chargers to Denver. Niners-Panthers might be pretty interesting.
Rick, you seem pretty confident the Seahawks will handle the Saints. I guess we’ll see on Saturday. I’d love to see a Niners-Saints Chaimpionship Game.
Rick, you’re right about turnovers. Carolina will be a Big Test for the Niners.
Jeff, the Seahawks are tough to beat on their home field.
True. But if Arizona could do it…
Jeff, I’m NOT that confident. I would much rather had it be the Eagles. The three best teams in the NFC are Seahawks, Saints and Niners. Any one of them could go to the Super Bowl. We’ll know which Seahawks team shows up by 5:00 your time Saturday.
