BUFFALO BILLS VS. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

It’s make-or-break time for the Buffalo Bills in their quest for a Playoff berth after 12 straight years of failure. Ironically, today’s game with the Indianapolis Colts is the fulcrum for the entire season. A win puts the Bills back in Playoff contention, a lose sends them into a death spiral. Andrew Luck, the rookie QB phenom, looks to test the Bills’ porous defense. Can the Bills score enough points to win? Stay tuned. What’s happening with your favorite NFL teams today?

The Panthers will likely lose Monday night. I think I’ve lost the faith. This year anyway. My other teams, both long time stalwarts: The ‘Skins made me proud Thursday and the Jets are proving to be the biggest embarrassment of the league.

I have that faith in the future of the ‘Skins and the Jets seem to be falling back into their usual swoon. I’ve followed them since they won Super Bowl III. Every few years, they’ve teased us with the notion they might be good, then fell back into the mud again. They’re headed for that mud once again I think.

After their disasterous 0-4 start, the Saints have fought back to .500 status, but their upcoming three games (San Francisco today, Atlanta on Thursday–with only three days rest, then New York on December 9) are going to be brutal. What with the whole fall-out from “Bountygate,” I fully expect this to be a lost season, but the Saints have managed to surprise me before.

I’m not very confident about the Giants hosting the Packers at the Meadowlands tonight what with the way they played the last three games before the break. Let’s hope they got their act together as they still have several tough teams (Saints, Falcons and Ravens, in that order, with the Redskins and Eagles bookending them) ahead of them. They need to play like they did in San Francisco.

Randy, I agree with you about the Jets. I think they looked at the team and said, “you know, the one thing we’re missing that can really bring us down even more is a quarterback controversy so let’s get Tim Tebow in here. We won’t use him no matter how much Mark Sanchez f#cks up but he’ll be there as a focus for the fans to boo us even more. It’s a win, win!”

Just pathetic. Woody Johnson should forget about Mitt Romney and get his head out of his butt.

Rex Ryan made too many promises that he (and the Jets) couldn’t keep, Jeff. Now, all those unfulfilled promises are coming back to bite him.

Right, Art. While one-loss Oregon is shut out of BCS, one-loss SEC teams vie for the chance to play the gold domers for top spot. The SEC favoritism makes me sick… Meanwhile, the Seahawks lost to Miami as Bob predicted. BAH!

And here’s why the Seahawks lost, George. I tuned into the game when there were about 8 minutes left. In that time the fish scored 17 points, the Hawks 7. I’m a jinx of epic power. That, and the Hawk’s secondary sucks.

You’re powers are impressive, Bob! Bills fans calling the post-game show want the Bills to lose all the rest of their games in order to get a high Draft Pick. So, if you want to do them all a favor, tune in to the Seahawks vs. Bills game December 16.

Well, the “good” Giants showed up and Eli and the defense were out of their month-long funk jsut in time for the December push. Their wins over San Francisco and Green Bay were by far their best efforts of the year and partly take away the bad taste of the awful losses.

Next up, RGIII next Monday night in D.C.

RG3 looks impressive, but the Skins need to get him help on the offensive line and add a few star receivers, Jeff. The Skins will be dangerous in coming seasons if RG3 can stay healthy.
