Patrick attended a computer conference in South Korea. He took some photographs and provides some commentary here. Tomorrow, Patrick begins his 16-hour flight to India to attend a wedding of a friend he met during his student days at Carnegie-Mellon University. My children are taking my advice to travel while they’re young!.
George, which part of India is Patrick travelling to?
Prashant, Patrick will be landing in Delhi, traveling to see the Taj Mahal, and then proceeding to Udaipur where the wedding takes place. Then he’s going to visit Jodhpur and then back to Delhi to fly back to the U.S.
Safe trip, Patrick!
Patti, safety is on our minds with that missing 777…
Great photos. I hope he’ll share some from India.
Bill, I’m guessing Patrick will be taking a couple hundred photos in India. When they become available, I’ll share them.
Nice. Better him than me on the 16 hour flight but we all had more energy when we were his age.
Now stay off my lawn!
I’m hoping the wedding will be like the Seinfeld episode.
Jeff, I’m hoping Patrick gets to ride an elephant.
George, Delhi is a few hundred miles north of Mumbai and is currently gripped by election fever, as is the rest of the country. I haven’t seen the Taj Mahal myself, a shame. Udaipur and Jodhpur are two of India’s premier tourist destinations with royal lakes and palaces. Both cities are situated in Rajasthan, the country’s only desert state and one of the hottest regions during summer beginning this month. Patrick is more likely to ride a camel in Rajasthan. I hope he has a memorable trip to India. I’d love to see the pictures and know what he thinks of Indian food and culture.
Prashant, Patrick is really looking forward to visiting India. I’ll be posting his photos when he returns. Patrick is an adventurous eater so I’m sure we’ll hear a lot about Indian cuisine.
I rode an elephant.
Just remind Patrick that there are some, ahem, diseases in that part of the world that are incurable. There’s an island in the Indian Ocean where they put the people who get these diseases and they can never leave it.
Bob, Patrick’s doctors have him on anti-malaria and anti-diarrhea medication for this trip.
The diseases I’m talking about have nothing to do with such mundane maladies. Nudge-nudge, wink-wink.
