The cliff-hanger at the end of Season Two was the arrest of Longmire’s best friend, Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips). Clearly, Longmire is going to be faced with clearing his friend and making amends. The root of this subplot goes all the way back to Season One when we find out Longmire’s wife had been murdered and the suspect of that attack was also murdered. I’m a big fan of Robert Taylor’s acting as Sheriff Walt Longmire of Wyoming’s fictional Absaroka County. I like the cast. The writers of the scripts are a cut above average. If you’re interested in the series, I recommend you start at the beginning since there are some long story arcs. If you’re a fan like me, you can’t wait to see what happens tonight.
George, I’ll be watching Longmire. HUGE fan here and I’ll be reviewing for Criminal Element the following day if you’re interested in stopping by and discussing. First episode is called “The White Warrior.”
David, I’ll be checking out your review for Criminal Element.
I’m definitely looking forward to this one. Taylor was perfect casting as the laconic Longmire. I read the newest book in the series last week so I am really in the mood.
Jeff, you’re absolutely right about Taylor as the perfect Longmire. He’s very believable.
I’ve got the machine set to record the episode. Though I have the first book, I have yet to read it. Must find the time.
Randy, I actually like the TV version of LONGMIRE more than the books.
I am currently reading the Longmire DEATH WITHOUT COMPANY and enjoying it a lot more than the TV series, which I find too hurried to do more than make a mess of Craig Johnson’s excellent writing, his characters, humor, and imaginative world.
