The Buffalo Bills take on the New York Giants in this 2014 Hall of Fame Game tonight. Yesterday, Bills wide receiver Andre Reed was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Andre Reed joins fellow teammates Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Bruce Smith, James Lofton, and their head coach, Marv Levy. It will be more than 20 years before another Buffalo Bill gets into the Hall of Fame. The Bills haven’t made the NFL Playoffs in 15 years. They have defined mediocrity for over a decade. Poor drafting, poor coaching, poor management produced few wins and fewer stars. But a new owner of the Buffalo Bills is on the horizon. Will it be Donald Trump? Or Jon Bon Jovi? We’ll have to wait and see.
God forbid it’s Trump, and if Bon Jovi is really talking about moving them to Toronto, forgettaboudit!
All the news here this weekend has been stories about Michael Strahan’s (deserved) induction into the HoF.
We’re seeing Boz Scaggs in concert tonight so will miss the Giants beat on the Bills.
😉
Jeff, Boz Scaggs performed at one of our casinos recently. The Bills plan to have their starters in for a series or two and then play backups and rookies for the rest of the game.
Pre-season football is mostly just a tryout for the new and second string returning players. I don’t bother watching those games, though I do read injury reports in the newspaper.
James, you’re right. I’m curious about some of the rookies the Bills drafted but other than that this “game” is a glorified practice.
So far so good, eh, George? It’s blurry, but I’m listening.
Rick, a good effort is about as much as you can expect in these meaningless preseason games.
I didn’t see until later that they lost. Sorry.
Rick, none of the Bills players got hurt so that’s a “win” for me in these meaningless preseason games.
