I like the fast songs best: 409; Fun, Fun, Fun; and so on.
Bill, “Fun, Fun, Fun” was one of my favorites in the Sixties. I played it until the grooves wore out!
Some great choices up there. Jackie’s favorite has always been “Don’t Worry Baby.” I used to cite “Help Me Rhonda” but I’d probably go with “God Only Knows” or “Caroline No” or one of the other ballads.

The one Beach Boys song I can’t stand is “Kokomo” with its egregious rhyme of “Port au Prince” and “glimpse.”

Jackie has really been branching out from my comfort zone – books, CDs and DVDs – at Amazon lately, what with a hair dryer, coffee maker, towels, shoes, jeans and now two lamps for the bedroom. We’re nowhere near the Kelley level of stimulating the economy but she’s doing her part.
Jeff, I buy vitamins, Phisoderm, CPAP supplies, and audio books on AMAZON in addition to books, CDs, and DVDS. There’s a UPS delivery to us just about every day.

Ed, I’m with you all the way. I’d rather listen to the Beach Boys than the Beatles. Of course, my favorite rock group is the Rolling Stones.
Beach Boys and Beatles = apples and oranges. As you know, in the Beatles – Stones argument, I was always a Beatles guy, but I like plenty of Stones songs. As for the Beach Boys, I was in Orange County CA at their time, met a couple of them at parties when I was in Junior College (Dennis Wilson, Mike Love), saw them perform in small venues for “practice sessions. I was very in tune with what they were doing, tried my hand at surfing but was lousy, etc. Their early stuff was our anthem my senior year of high school.
Rick, I envy you meeting some Beach Boys! I’ve seen them in concert twice. Great fun!
