The set looks lovely but I wish it were on Blu-ray though as I have most of these from previous iterations – should still make a lot of people very happy though!
Sergio, with this old B&W movies, Blu-ray really doesn’t enhance the film much.
George, I don’t think I have seen any of these although I have seen the later versions of “American Werewolf in London” and “Phantom of the Opera.”
Prashant, this would be the ideal box set for you! Watching the original movies would be a lot of fun for you!
By a happy coincidence I just watched HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN last night: plain-damn silly, but you gotta love it!
Dan, you’re right about this classic films being a lot of fun to watch!
Surprisingly few. Well,maybe not surprisingly.
Patti, I saw plenty of these films in my youth at a local movie theater. Admission cost a quarter!
I’ve seen most of them.
Bill, I’m not surprised.
I’ve seen most (if not all) of them.
I must admit that the older I get the more I appreciate the old black & white movies.
Jeff, I like B&W movies, too. But, I’ve learned that buying Blu-ray versions of these old B&W movies doesn’t get you much.
I’ve seen most of them, almost all on television, of course, in Creature Features and such shows.
I’ve seen nearly all of them. When I was a kid they scared the crap out of me.
What did they cost?
Bob, AMAZON has this box set of 30 movies for $89.49.
Rick, we still have some late night movie channels that show these films from time to time.
TCM shows them quite often.
Steve, you’re right. TCM will probably have a Halloween marathon of these films!
I think I’ve been missing a very few of the WW2-era sequels, particularly THE INVISIBLE AGENT, but I’ve seen nearly all. Pity it doesn’t have the Hispanophone Universal DRACULA included…
