BYE WEEK

The Buffalo Bills are enjoying their Bye Week. At the mid-way point of the season, the Bills are 5-3. The Bills defense leads the NFL in QB sacks (28) and interceptions (12). Since the Bills aren’t in action today, I can enjoy the Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots game instead. How will your favorite NFL team do today?

The Panthers are already sinking fast. The ‘Skins got the ig win last week which made me happy. I said years ago, jokingly, that if the ‘Skins only one two games a year, as long as they were against the Cowboys, I’d be satisfied. That came back to bite me after that when they only won four games one year, but two were against the ‘Bpys.

the less said about the Jets the better.

Randy, you’re right about the Jets being headed for a a complete re-build. Rex Ryan will be looking for a new job. I think the Gino Smith experiment is over. The Panthers are disappointing. Cam Newton seems to have regressed. The NFC East is up for grabs!

Hey George, we went to eat lunch at the local Chipotle yesterday and I was shocked to see a young woman wearing a Bills cap!

The Giants 100% will NOT lose today. Now Monday night against the Colts will probably be a different story.

I will be rooting for Arizona to win in Dallas this afternoon. The Jets are pathetic. Michael Vick will start against the Chiefs.

Jeff, Bills fans are everywhere! I’m with you on the Jets. The Colts lost last week so they’re going to be up for the Giants tomorrow night!

Amazingly, after two quick wins in less than a week (last Sunday and last Thursday), the 4-4 Saints find themselves atop the NFC South, which says less about the Saints’ prowess and more about the weakness of the division. The Saints do not play today, but I daresay we’ll find a game or two to play in the background. As for me, I’m prowling YouTube, looking for MST3K episodes I have missed.

Deb, it’s amazing how 2 quick wins can change the complexion of an NFL season. The Bills are facing the same scenario next week: they play the KC Chiefs on Sunday and the Miami Dolphins on Thursday. Mystery Science Theater 3000 is always fun!

Seattle vs. Oakland. Oakland is having another awful season, and the game is in Seattle, in the rain, so I expect Seattle to win. I’d rather watch the Denver-New England game, but we get our regional game, which is Seattle, so unless our game is a blowout, the best I can hope for is occasional updates. I think Denver will win, but who knows?

I have no idea why Rex Ryan wasn’t fired two years ago. The Jets are a prime example of a mismanaged team. Seattle may get a good draft pick from them for Harvin.

Rick, the question is: will Oakland go 0-16? The Jets can’t do that because they’ve already won a game. We don’t have any snow like New England, but we woke up to 32 degree temperatures.

Besides the Jets we’re getting Arizona-Dallas at 1 and Denver-New England at 4:30 since the Giants play Monday night.

Seattle SHOULD beat the Raiders, but I said the same thing when they played the Rams. Right now I have no high expectations.

Bob, on paper Seattle should trounce Oakland. But, as you pointed out, on paper Seattle should have trounced the Rams. Those “trick” plays stole the game!

Well Seattle won, but it sure wasn’t pretty against a winless team.

I guess losing in Kansas City really lit a fire under the Patriots and Tom Brady.
