Tonight Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will wrap up with a 2-hour season finale that will further complicate the conflict between humans and humans with “powers.” I enjoyed the story arc this season as the implications of Skye’s transformation by the alien artifact impact the S.H.I.E.L.D. team. Plenty of plot twists and unexpected events kept me off-balance (which I relish). Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter have been renewed by ABC for next season. I’m overjoyed!
I thought you said, after the first season’s first couple of episodes you weren’t going to watch it anymore. Now you’re watching it?
Rick, I think you have AGENTS OF SHIELD confused with GOTHAM.
Oh, thanks. Sorry about that.
GOTHAM improved slightly as I spottily watched it over the season. But no few say it got better then got worse, and I can believe it.
Todd, GOTHAM was renewed by FOX. Friends who watch it claim the last couple episodes were outstanding, but I bailed out early on. The pacing was glacial.
I’ll stick with the movies but I don’t watch the TV show.
Jeff, if you change your mind, AGENTS OF SHIELD can be found ON-DEMAND and elsewhere online.
I gave up on Agents of SHIELD after the first three or four episodes. Just didn’t care about any of the stars. Even had trouble telling them apart. I loved Agent Carter, however.
Bill, you’re right about the slow start to AGENTS OF SHIELD. But, I’ve grown fond of the characters, especially the super-smart Simmons. And, like you, I love AGENT CARTER which has been renewed for next season by ABC.
Wasn’t Agent Carter 97 in the last Captain America movie? I liked her better when she was young and active!
Well, Jeff, then you should watch the series, which is set in the late 1940s. The first season started brilliantly, and ended rather weakly, but Hayley Atwell (as Carter) and some of the other aspects were fine throughout (the story arc narrowed to focus on an utterly unconvincing villain, even by comics adaptation standards, by the end of the season).
Todd, you’re right about the writing of AGENT CARTER needing to be upgraded. And better villains would help, too.
Jeff, I’m hoping AGENT CARTER gets a full season instead just a few episodes.
