As for school starting, we went back the first week of August–but we’ll inevitably have some kids register tomorrow, parents not understanding that their children now have a month’s worth of work to catch up on.
Deb, we’ll be registering New Students into the Third Week of classes. As you might suspect, those students joining a class three weeks into the semester struggle to catch up. Most don’t. But the College wants their money so this unfair system continues.
Happy Labor Day, George. One of the traditional things to do is have a picnic. We’re having fried chicken and the usual pic in fare, though it will be on our deck, not at the park. How about you?
Rick, it is hotter this Labor Day Week than it was for the Fourth of July weekend! Temps are nearing 90 with high humidity. I’m staying in the A/C and Diane is planning a feast of pulled pork, corn-on-the-cob, watermelon, brownies, and ice cream. Yum!
Labor is for suckers.
Bob, if you do what you like you’ll never work a day in your Life.
Enjoy this hard-won Holiday!
Dan, I’ll be posting REVIEW QUESTIONS FOR EXAM #1 for my online students, so yes I’m working today.
School is ready to start here this week. Once again Jackie (like Diane) is happy she is no longer in that rat race.
Jeff, it’s hard to believe but Diane is beginning her 12th year of Retirement!
Jackie feels exactly the same way.
Yeah –I’m sure that model is a “working gal.”

We had our barbecue fare yesterday – rack of ribs, sweet potato fries, beans, grilled corn. It’s back to salad at Panera today.
Jeff, we’re big fans of Panera, too. Good food at good prices. Diane loves their breads!
I love sleeping late and not going to work. It took me 44 years to do that and get paid for it.
Bob, I’m looking forward to that myself.
