I’m a big fan of soulful music so I was eager to hear Brian McKnight’s new music CD recorded live in January 2016 at Los Angeles’ historic Saban Theatre . Brian McKnight sings about love and loss and hope. I find his music compelling and honest. If Brian McKnight was singing in the Sixties, he’d be on Motown Records. If you’re in the mood for some mellow music, I recommend An Evening With Brian McKnight. Take a listen below. GRADE: B+

Lovely. You are a romantic, George.
Patti, I grew up listening to Motown music. Today’s contemporary pop music seems devoid of romance.
That’s because most of it is devoid of romance, just full of misogyny or straight out lust.
And the music mostly sucks.
And stay off my lawn!
Jeff, so much music on contemporary music radio stations sounds the same to me. Too formulaic.
loved the clip thanks
Maggie, there’s a Blu-ray of AN EVENING WITH BRIAN MCKNIGHT. I’m considering buying it.
I can’t hear the Motown in this, sounds pretty 80s generic guy soul to me.
Rick, you have to take what’s available in these days of MIDI music.
