Just a few short weeks ago, the Bills defeated the Patriots 16-0. But now Tom Brady is back and the Patriots yearn for payback. The Bills are still reeling from the 28-25 lost in Miami last Sunday. The weather tomorrow should be full of wind and rain. LeSean McCoy, the Bills best player, is unlikely to see action because of a sore hamstring. Things do not look promising for the Bills. How will your favorite NFL team fare today?
After last week’s performance I wouldn’t trust the Seahawks to beat Harvard!
Bob, ties are rare in the NFL. But it may come back to bite the Seahawks by the end of the season.
They’ll do great! That is, great if you consider the bye week great. Instead, we’re getting the Seahawks-Saints game, plus the morning game from London (washington-Cincinnati), plus the Jets vs. Cleveland, plus Atlanta and Green Bay
Jeff, the rain will affect the Patriots vs. Bills game. Sadly, the Bills best running back is hurt.
The 2-4 Saints limp into the Superdome to take on the 4-1-1 (I think) Seahawks. The Saints have again failed to gel as a team this season, with a defense that can’t stop the opposing team from matching and surpassing every point Drew Breese and his offense put on the scoreboard. I told Richard Robinson he could go ahead and put a check in the Seahawks’ Win column for this one!
Deb, “on any given Sunday…” But, like you, I think the New England Patriots fans can put a check in the WIN column today.
Well, the Saints pulled it out. The Seahawks look very far removed from their Super Bowl season.
Tom Brady, on the other hand… .
Jeff, Tom Brady owns the Bills. He’s beaten the Buffalo Bills 26 times! And Rex Ryan’s “vaulted” defense gave up 41 points. What a fraud!
The Texans will get clobbered by the Lions. Maybe Dallas can beat the Eagles in the battle of the rookie QBs, but I’m not counting on it.
Bill, I’ll be watching the Eagles vs. Cowboys game. I’m shocked that two rookie QBs could be playing so well! That used to be unheard of in the NFL!
Texans are up 14-0.
Speaking of Texans, in case you don’t watch the time travel show TIMELESS, this week they will be going back to the Alamo.
I’m rooting for the Cowboys and Eagles to beat the crap out of each other. Forced to make a choice, however, I’d take the Cowboys because the Giants beat them opening day, and they play the Eagles next Sunday.
Jeff, maybe the Eagles and Cowboys will tie like the Seahawks and Cardinals did last Sunday! That would really help the Giants!
Well, the Redskins tied Cincinnati.
Jeff, I don’t think there was a tie game in the 2015 season.
Two ties in two weeks! No wonder viewership is down.
Rick, time to tie one on!
I see a possible Saints upset, but perhaps the Seahawks can figure out how to score one of those touchdown thingies, or maybe more than one. The game is on now, but I’m busy helping clean house for guests tomorrow (Barbara is in command today).
Rick, I’m moving a dozen boxes of books out of the garage into the basement. Diane insists our vehicles must be in the garage for Halloween (we don’t want any tricks). Finding room in the basement for more books is becoming a challenge.
Had game on in background late in half. Seahawks don’t have any offense. Again. They should have addressed the offensive line problems, so they could have a running game, two years ago. Wilson can just sit and throw forever. One point game. Back to work for me. Next up” steam cleaning carpet in bedrooms.
Rick, have you not heard of “Day of Rest”?
behind the couch? just don’t forget them there
Maggie, San Diego is playing the Broncos tough!
Amazingly, the Saints have won! Once again, a (relatively) high-scoring game that went literally down to the last play. That seems to be the Saints’ modus operandi these days.
Deb, congratulations on the Saints win. The Buffalo Bills lost…again.
Saints won because “the best defensive back in football,” to quote him, Richard Sherman, held on an unsuccessful third down play that would have give the Seahawks the ball with three minutes on the clock and only two points down! Jackass!
Bob, pro football is a game of errors.
It wouldn’t have mattered if the Seahawks had managed to SCORE A LITTLE MORE.
I didn’t see much of the game, none of the 2nd half, but I’m disappointed that they lost. I’m sure Deb is pleased.
Rick, the Bills travel to Seattle next week for Monday Night Football. Seahawks will have an easy game.
There are no easy games, George! On any given night, any team can beat another! It all happens between the lines! Luck is the residue of preparation! You never know which way the ball will bounce!
Bob, I can’t remember the last time the Buffalo Bills won a Monday Night game. Decades ago…
