NFL WEEK 15 (2020)

The 11-3 Buffalo Bills, with their 48-19 win over the Denver Broncos yesterday, have clinched the AFC East title for the first time in 25 years! Bills fans are deliriously happy. But, as the Bills players said after the game: “We’re not done yet.” How will your favorite NFL perform today?

    The Bills kicked butt!

The Giants-Browns game was flexed to Sunday night, displacing the Cowboys (ouch!), but Daniel Jones (who was lousy last week – maybe came back too soon from his leg injury) has a second boo boo and should sit out. They need to win, but I expect Cleveland to come out on top. It is always a mistake betting on the Giants. This way, when they do win I can be pleasantly surprised!

Dan, Laura Nyro and The Fifth Dimension knew the specialness of Bills! It’s so great for Bills fans to have that Dark Cloud of Losing banished!

After last week’s dispiriting loss to the Eagles (where the Saints didn’t even show up until the second half and Lutz missed two relatively easy field goals), the 10-3 Saints meet the 12-1 Chiefs in the Superdome. Drew Brees—still recovering from 11 cracked ribs and a punctured lung—is expected to start, which I think is insane: the Saints, with or without Brees, are probably going to lose to the juggernaut that is the Patrick Mahomes-helmed Chiefs. Why not bite the bullet, take the lose, let Drew recover completely, and be ready for the playoffs? After all, the Saints have already clinched a playoff berth. Let Drew get back to full strength and deal with the seeding later. But what do I know—I’m the person in 1996 who said, “A movie about the Titanic? Who the hell will pay to see that?”

Of course you’re right. Hey, the Giants should have sat Daniel Jones last week and he isn’t 42 with 11 cracked ribs. The Packers already have the tie-breaker over the Saints, so let Brees get healthy. No brainer, right?

Deb, I too am disturbed by Drew Brees–11 cracked ribs and a punctured lung–going out on the field this soon. Buffalo Bills fans went out to the Buffalo Airport in the middle of the night to great the AFC East Champions when their plane landed!

Seattle is crushing Washington, which is good for the Giants…if they could find a way to beat Cleveland tonight.
