Where’s that All-American girl Paris Hilton this year?
We’re off to the Big Ballpark in the Bronx this afternoon to celebrate George Steinbrenner’s birthday. Let’s hope the Yankees can duplicate yesterday’s performance.
Well, it wasn’t easy but they pulled out a 7-6 win over the Blue Jays in 10 innings. It was HOT at the Stadium, so hot Jackie had to get them to change our seats to get out of the sun. That helped, a lot.
And the singer (I think they said she was the official Marine singer) was 1000% better than American Idol runner up David Archuleta on A CAPITOL FOURTH, who was pretty bad. She did the American and Canadian anthems and did a great job.
Looks like the Northeast is going to be hot, hot, hot this week, Jeff. Glad you saw a good game. I like it when they sing both the American and Canadian national anthems…and sing them well.
We saw the Tacoma Rainiers (M’s AAA team) spank the Portland Beavers 8-2 on the 3rd. On the 4th the M’s whipped Detroit 7-1. I recall we took 2 of 3 from the Yanks last week. So why are we deep in the cellar?
