After a solid win against the Seahawks last week, the 2-3 Saints host the 2-3 Bengals today in the Super Dome. I’ll be expecting the Saints to build much of their offense around all-purpose player (and last week’s golden boy), Taysum Hill. And speaking of golden boys, there will be a warm welcome for Bengals QB Joe Burrow here in southern Louisiana because of how he led LSU to a championship in 2019. I expect to see plenty of purple & gold alongside the Saints black & gold in the stands today.

Meanwhile, I’m still in shock about how badly the Dodgers imploded against the Padres in the division championship series last night. After such a spectacular season, to end up flaming out in what is basically the first round is crushing. So, I haz a major sad today.

Deb, Diane is rooting for the Guardians and jumped almost to the ceiling when the Cleveland team came from behind to beat the Yankees!

I’m rooting for the chiefs, hoping the rams win and the chargers lose. The Bills are really doing well and being touted as the team to beat.

Thanks to Deb for the update on the padres/dodgers. I didn’t stay up for the ending. They’ve been making fans happy here I was in Phoenix for a David Rosenfelt signing Tues & Wed. The signing was tues so we could have only caught the last 3-4 innings, but the hotel tv didn’t have the game, or not that we could find. We did see the Wed ga me and were sooo happy I’ve actually been to 2 games this year, which is double the amount of all the other padres games I remember going to (one in the late 70’s with the Beach Boys playing

    Go, Bills!

The surprising 4-1 Giants (Yah, Brian Daboll!) face another very tough challenge when they host the favored (by 5 points) Ravens in the Meadowlands. Still, don’t bet on the Giants, but it all depends on how well they can contain Lamar Jackson. Fingers crossed.

They did it! An interception and a touchdown with a couple of minutes left and the Giants win, 24-20! Amazing.

Daboll has to be an early favorite for Coach of the Year.
