Because of the Lake Effect snow event that pummeled Western NY, the NFL moved the Cleveland Browns vs. Buffalo Bills game to Ford Field in Detroit. Despite the disruption, the Bills are still 8-point favorites. How will your favorite NFL team perform today?
The 3-7 Saints host the 3-6 Rams in the Super Dome today. Both teams are limping their way to the end of the season, and it’s a toss-up as to which porous defense will prevail against which anemic offense. I’m not exactly expecting a thriller with this game, but we will be watching it.
Deb, Odell Beckham, Jr. claims he will sign with either the Cowboys or the Giants after Thanksgiving. The Bills are in the mix, but I’m not a fan of OBJ.
Yes, some of us have our fingers crossed. We could use him ON Thanksgiving!
Jeff, I’m guessing OBJ will launch a bidding war between the Cowboys and the Giants for his services!
After watching our news last night, I’m worried about you in all that snow – even with Big Orange.
BE CAREFUL!!!
Beth, thank you for your concern! But, I’m built for Winter and all this snow lets me play in my element! With Big Orange, snow doesn’t have a chance!
Those photos give me the chills. I don’t miss shovelling snow we did in Virginia. Keep warm!
Fred, this was a serious snow event! Josh Allen, the Bills QB, is 6’7″ inches tall. The snow outside his condo is higher than that!
The Giants really, really need to win again today. While the Bills are in Detroit, the Giants are hosting the Lions in the Wind Bowl that is the Meadowlands today. (We will soften them up for the Bills on Thanksgiving. The Bills might as well spend the week in Detroit.) Expect plenty of running plays.
With the tough part of the schedule coming up – starting on Thanksgiving in Dallas, the Giants play Dallas, Washington, Philadelphia, Washington, Minnesota, Indianapolis, and the Eagles again. Games 1, 4,5 and 7 are on the road. Is it any wonder I said they need to win today?
Jeff, this Sunday is “Crunch Time” for many teams who have Playoff aspirations!
The game actually sold out here quite quickly. The temperature has been in the 20s the last few days but Ford Field is enclosed so I imagine a lot of people viewed this as a nice way to vent some of their cabin fever. The surrounding neighborhood has really come back to life in the past decade so anyone visiting should have a nice visit. I’m not a sports fan but good luck to the Bills.
We got a nice little flurry through the night and have maybe 1 1/2 inches of snow which is a nice way to begin the holiday season. Good luck digging yourself out and be careful. Best wishes to everyone out your way.
Byron, plenty of Buffalo Bills fans made their way to Detroit for this game against the Cleveland Browns. After a slow start, the Bills got back into their scoring groove.
I”m hoping the rams and chiefs win. Also the bills
Maggie, the Rams are struggling against Deb’s New Orleans Saints. I’m rooting for the Chiefs in tonight’s game, too. The Bills are running out the clock as I type this.
Hope the Bills have better luck on Ford Field than the Lions. Although they are beating the Giants as I write this.
Patti, the Bills will be back to Ford Field to play the Lions on Thanksgiving!
I came to see if you had anything about the snow in a post. I sort of got what I was looking for. Were these pictures from today?
Tracy, the photos were taken yesterday by my wife while the snow was still falling. I snowblower another 4 inches of snow this morning after it fell overnight. All together, North Tonawanda got 16 inches from this Lake Effect snow event. The area with the most snow was Orchard Park with 77 inches!
I’m jealous of their snow! I want snow so bad, and Kansas City just doesn’t get much these days.
The Chiefs gave me heart trouble, as they seem to do every week. I’m glad they keep winning, but I get tired of seeing their weaknesses on display every week.
Carl, I’m sure we’ll see the Chiefs and the Bills face each other in the Playoffs. If the Bills can get Home Field Advantage, the Chiefs might be playing in some snow!
