Happy Valentine’s Day to all who celebrate! Today marks John’s & my 36th anniversary as an official couple. We had been dating throughout 1986, but on Valentine’s Day 1987, we decided to throw in our lot together. Two years later, we got married on the closest Saturday to Valentine’s—which, in 1989, was February 11. So we went out of town this weekend to celebrate 34 years of marriage and today we celebrate 36 years as a couple.

Deb, Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Anniversary! I’m taking Diane to her favorite local restaurant for their Special Valentine’s Day dinner. Diane loves the food…and the harpist!

    Three things, George:
    1) that’s a strange costume on Robin.

    2) congrats to Deb and John!

    3) wishing you and Diane the most glorious Valentine’s Day ever!

Happy Valentines Day, George and Diane, and Deb and John. Our first Valentines Day as a couple was…yes, there was electric light back then, in 1967.

We don’t celebrate holidays as a rule, because every day’s a holiday, right? We’ll go to a favorite restaurant for lunch. Last year we went to Cheesecake Factory, as I recall, and made the big mistake – don’t repeat it! – of ordering a piece of Jackie’s favorite strawberry shortcake rather than cheesecake. Epic Fail! It was NOT like any strawberry shortcake we’d ever eaten. If you ever happen to eat there, stick to the cheesecake.

Jeff, the best of Valentine’s Day to you and Jackie! No strawberry shortcake for Diane and me unless we make it ourselves! We’ve been burned too many times!

Jeff, we’re about to leave to go to The Hideaway Grill. Diane loves their banana cream pie for dessert. Sometimes they have chocolate St. Valentine’s Day Specials so I may opt for one of those. They also give all the women a rose.

Happy belated Valentine’s Day to you and Diane. I have to say, we only celebrated Valentine’s Day before we got married, and I don’t miss it much. But I do remember the early celebrations when we had recently met very fondly.

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s day with your (long time???) partners!
In Europe it’s relatively new, I wouldn’t have thought about it if I hadn’t seen all those commercials.
So we stayed at home, my wife made a lot of “Langos” (special Hungarian pancakes) and brought some to our neighbour. There are three couples and we often help each other, really good relations in this small town.
