Featuring Norah Jones is a compilation album by American singer Norah Jones that was released on November 16, 2010, by Blue Note Records. The album includes songs by other artists on which Jones is featured, including songs by her side bands The Little Willies and El Madmo. The album includes “Here We Go Again”, a duet with Ray Charles, which won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 2005. The song “Little Lou, Ugly Jack, Prophet John” by Belle & Sebastian had only been released one month prior to the release of this album on the group’s October 2010 album Belle and Sebastian Write About Love.
I was a big fan of Norah Jones when I listened to her first two CDs: Come Away With Me (2002) and Fells Like Home (2004). In later years, I drifted away as Norah Jones tried different singing styles and different songs…not to my tastes. But, this compilation CD includes plenty of excellent songs. The only dud is “Baby It’s Cold Outside” where Willie Nelson sounds unenthused.
With the variety of songs on this CD, I’m sure you’ll hear something you like…perhaps a lot! Are you a Norah Jones fan? GRADE: B+

She has not really been much on my radar. I am fans of Belle and Sebastian and Ryan Adams.
Steve, I’m surprised by the variety of singers Norah Jones was able to attract to this project.
Of course, I’m interested in her version of Joni Mitchell’s “Court and Spark”, but overall I can’t see myself listening to the entire album.
Deb, there’s a lot of random music on …FEATURING NORAH JONES.
Hate to say it, but this sounds like a real snoozer.
Michael, I’ve had this CD for over 10 years and finally got around to listening to it. It’s a strange disc.
The first two albums were amazing. And we got to see her perform in a tiny venue, her back to the audience. She was shy.
Since those two, what I hear hasn’t grabbed me. But since I listen to almost no pop, it’s not surprising.
Patti, my experience parallels yours. I loved Norah’s first two albums (and still play them). But then she “experimented” with various musical styles and sounds. …FEATURING NORAH JONES presents some of those experiments, some successful and some not.
Not particularly a fan either, though I did like her duet with Ray Charles.
And is there i>any song that Willie Nelson hasn’t recorded, either alone or in a duet?
I don’t know or don’t like at least half the people she performs with here. I’ll pass.
I’m surprised. I expected an NFL Draft post today. Maybe tomorrow
Jeff, my NFL Draft Post will be on Sunday after all the dust has settled. I (and most Bills fans) have no idea who the Bills will draft at #27. I’m hoping they trade down and get more picks.
As ABC coverage of the draft has delayed my JEOPARDY! fix to 1:30…growls.
Todd, now that sports betting is legal, fans are betting on when college players are going to be drafted into the NFL! Madness!
I’d also guess non-betting (as much as there is) fantasy and rotisserie team-formation is also in overdrive…I noted the Super Bowl-party level of barrenness in the Wegman’s soda aisle the day before yesterday…but didn’t immediately put it all together…
Todd, I read a report in the BUFFALO NEWS that NY State has taken in $200 million in tax revenue on sports gambling. With the NBA and NHL Playoffs, I’m sure betting is brisk. But who in their Right Mind would bet on whether a certain player is going to be drafted in the Fifth Round by the Jets? A sure recipe for losing!
Norah Jones is a major talent, but I, too, lost track of her after her movement away from jazz-infused music…and my quasi-hermitage. Liked her acting, as well. I idly wonder if she’s ever recorded with Ravi Shankar’s other musical kids. Could Go Look.
Todd, I like Norah but some of her “experiments” in music were not to my taste.
