My youngest sister Paula and her husband from Florida came to visit us so Diane and I decided to celebrate Paula’s recent retirement (she was an Elementary School teacher for decades) and Diane’s Birthday. One of our favorite restaurants is the swanky Russell’s Steaks and More. Paula and Steve had never been to Russell’s so it was an extra special treat for them!
Great picture—and it looks like you closed the place down. Many happy returns to Diane on her 29th birthday! And congratulations to Paula. If she has been teaching in Florida, she’s getting out at the right time.
Or just after…
Looks like a terrific evening. Congrats to all.
A lovely family gathering, George.
And congratulations to the two teachers! Slow and steady often wins the race in my experience.
What a lovely picture of two happy couples!
Congratulations!
What dod you have for dinner?
Wolf, Russell’s Steak and More restaurant specializes in steaks. I had a NY Strip Steak, Diane, Paula, and Steve all went with Filet mignon. They had salads while I had a bowl of Hot Pepper Soup! Then we went to Anderson’s Custard to have dessert!
I’m with you, George!
PS:
Just realised that I was totally wrong!
In Europe filet is the name for the pork medallion.
My favourite there is Mangalica, a “Hungarian Hairy pig”. These pigs live outside in kennels all year …
Happy Birthday, Diane. Today is my nephew CJ’s birthday too. He’s 23.
Jeff, and it’s also Harrison Ford’s Birthday. He’s 81 today!
See you wore your dress-up suspenders seeing that it was a swanky joint! LOL
Kent, my dress-up Suspenders have silver clips!
Congratulations to both of them, and you all!
Todd, it’s fun to celebrate in a great restaurant!
Happy birthday, Diane! Tomorrow, the 15th, is my older sister’s 78th! The 14th is Bastille Day for all you Frenchies out there!
Bob, I wouldn’t want to be vacationing in France for Bastille Day right now with all the social unrest over there!
Even before the rioting it wasn’t a good idea. We were there one year and walked down the Champs-Elysses, only to have morons lighting firecrackers and throwing them at people’s feet, including ours.
Jeff, between the terrorist incidents in France and the general rise of anarchy there and elsewhere in the EU, I’m not interested in travel to Europe.
