FISHER-PRICE LITTLE PEOPLE COLLECTOR SET BUFFALO BILLS 2023

Diane got up early and drove over to our Wegmans grocery store at 6:00 A.M. The line of Buffalo Bills fans was out the door. Diane waited about 20 minutes before she got the opportunity to buy this Fisher-Price Little People Collector set of Buffalo Bills for 2023. This is the third year of this promotion. The first set of Fisher-Price Little People for the Bills sold out literally in minutes. Last year, Fisher-Price increased the number of sets, but they also sold out in a day. This time, the number of sets was increased again and Diane finally scored!

This all-new set includes QB Josh Allen, TE Dawson Knox, LB Von Miller, and a Buffalo Bills super fan wearing the iconic Water Buffalo headgear.

Fisher-Price, the Western NY toymaker, is charging $25 for the set with $10 of that donated to John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo. These sets are now on eBay selling for $50…or more! What kind of promotions does your favorite NFL team do?

Patti, when Fisher-Price first put these sets on sale three years ago, it ignited a frenzy of buying. That continues today. Sure, I’m sure kids want these Little People sets, but the Big Money is in the collectors’ market. Already, this $25 set is going for $50 or more on eBay! The sets from the past couple of years are in the hundreds!

Nice! Good of Diane to get out early and wait in line. Jackie just can’t stand in line that long before her legs start acting up.

I meant to send you a picture the other day of a car with a couple of Bills decals on it. We see them occasionally here in Brooklyn, and I’ve even seen a number of them in South Florida.

I don’t keep up with the Giants promos, but the Yankees do a LOT of stuff, especially Bobblehead Nights and the like.

Jeff, Bills fans are everywhere! We see Bills decals on cars and trucks from Michigan, Florida, and Ohio around here all the time! I knew nothing about Dinae’s early morning score until I woke up the next morning and saw the sets she bought.

Hm. Closest I’ve come to this was considering buying the clearance shelf dolls (I vaguely recall they were STAR WARSian in some manner) the other week at the Target where I buy very low sugar cranberry juice cocktail , canned cat food, and pick up my CVS drugs.

But I let another business opportunity slip through my fingers thus.

I had some pressbooks from the first US Women’s Soccer League, from my TV GUIDE days, but they were all destroyed in the roof collapse in the one storage room. About as close to taking a keen interest in pro sports teams as I’ve come. (Because of the various networks i was working with, I did learn the distinctions between US football, Canadian, Gaelic, Australian, and rugby, of course…and all of them, also of course, nothing much to do with footie, although the potential of injury is at least as high in all the flatter-ball sports.

Not a water buffalo but an American bison! I’ve gotten a few giveaways at the stadium when I used to go to Mariner games, but nothing from the Seahawks! I do have some Seahawk wearables but they were gifts from a store! I don’t like the cutesy Fisher-Price figures anyway!

Not literally! They’re probably this year’s Cabbage Patch or Beanie Babies! In two years you won’t be able to give them away!

Bob, I disagree. Sports stuff seems to have a longer than average shelf life. Crazy fans buy anything with BUFFALO BILLS on it around here. The Bills play the Steelers in Pittsburgh this Saturday.

Really!? Look how the bottom fell out of the sports cards mania! Sure, a few are still valuable, but most are fodder for bicycle spokes (where thousands of dollars of mine went)!
