TIRED OF WINNING: DONALD TRUMP AND THE END OF THE GRAND OLD PARTY By Jonathan Karl

“Within Republican circles at least, the message of McCarthy’s pilgrimage (to Mar-a-Lago) was loud and clear. Donald Trump’s status as the party’s leader was restored. His time in the political wilderness lasted eight days.” (p. 48)

Jonathan Karl tracks the GOP and Trump from January 6th to the present. Karl includes all the craziness of the Trump circle of “advisors.” Steve Bannon said that Ivanka Trump was “Dumb as a brick” and referred to Donald Trump, Jr. as “a dimwit.” (p. 54) Then Bannon was fired. But he’s back in the fringes of Trumpworld.

But the scary part of Tired of Winning (2023) is Karl laying out the fashioning of the next Trump Administration: firing most of the Justice Department and replacing them with political stooges. Rounding up immigrants and sending them to interment camps. Prosecuting political enemies. Utilizing the Military to “Restore Order.” The list is extensive…and frightening. Already, Trump minions are recruiting staff for the next Trump administration where loyalty is the prime attribute for inclusion.

Make no mistake: Karl records Trump ranting about the Retribution he is going to bring to the country when he regains power. Tired of Winning shows the entire Trump playbook for plans to Make America Great Again. GRADE: A

So depressing. And the Speaker of the House of Representatives is now on record as saying he’ll refuse to certify an election win for anyone other than Trump. Biden needs to exercise some of the executive power the Supreme Court inadvertently imbued him with when they were setting the stage for King Trump and kick all these fascist jerks to the curb. Dark days ahead, my friends. Very dark indeed.

Deb, Trump says he’s going to launch The Purge when he gets into the White House. And even his Republican buddies like Lindsay Graham are advising Trump not to call Kamala “mentally damaged.” In a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania this weekend, Trump said,”I honestly believe that Kamala Harris, who is lying, was born like that (with a mental disorder),” he said. “There is something wrong with Kamala. I don’t know what it is, but there’s definitely something missing. And we all know that.”

        Shrinks call that “projection.”

        What he means is,
“There is something wrong with ME, and we all know it.”

Just read a piece about Trump’s speech” in Erie yesterday, where he said a Night of the Long Knives – oh, wait, that was the Nazis, right? – a “violent” – his word – crackdown by the police would end crime once and for all. Right, that would work. His campaign said, basically, “just kidding!” but of course he wasn’t.

This country is in sad fucking shape and yes, the Republican Party of Weasels is largely responsible, due to their mass case of Lubner’s Disease – being born without a spine.

The GOP never left Trump for a minute. Why would it? I hope Zelenskii has a bolt hole. The rest of us too. Texas may be a bellwether for Trump II — a state controlled by regressive Republicans who enact the most vicious, authoritarian edicts imaginable while the state’s Democrats linger on life support.

Fred, I know Bill Crider railed against the Republicans in Texas where he lived his entire Life. Diane and I just filled out our Absentee voting forms and mailed them in. Done! Go Kamala and Tim!

    Just abominable!
Here in Europe we have similar problems in some countries – I just hope it won’t be happening.

Fascism is definitely on the rise. Most of the figureheads for it in most countries isn’t as stupid as Trump…I still remain certain that the Democratic ticket will win.

They definitely will in New Jersey. With any luck, Trample will have trampled his “soft vote” nationally.
