I’m taking Diane to her favorite local restaurant for a Valentine’s Day dinner with friends. Hope your Valentine’s Day plans are just as sweet!

VD and Ash Wednesday are not (or are they?) a natural pairing…Mardi Gras and VD seem to go better together.
A very happy holiday for y’all!
Todd, I’m with you on Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day, not an ideal pairing. Happy holiday to you, too!
Who are the other couple?
(This note might even have the right URL for me on it.)
Todd, the other couple are Cindy and Tom Burkett, the same couple we’re going out with to dinner tonight. Cindy is Diane’s Best Friend. Tom is a retired librarian.
VD? Really, Todd? You might want to rephrase.
We’re going down to Boca to Jackie’s new favorite Japanese buffet for lunch, discovered last year and quickly moved to the top her her list.
Jeff, I’m leaning toward Prime Rib tonight. Diane will likely order some chicken item on the menu.
I was enjoying the implication in context, in re Fat Tuesday and Ash Wed.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your main squeeze, George! Love is in the air!
Jerry, Love might be in the air but so is snow! I might have to fire Big Orange up today.
Happy Valentine’s Day (and Ash Wednesday) everyone ! Remember, you can’t have Valentine without L-E-N-T! Just a little Episcopal humor this morning. A few years ago, Valentine’s Day & Ash Wednesday also fell on the same day, and Julia went on a date with her ashes on her forehead!
John and I celebrate our 37th anniversary as a couple today. It was on Valentine’s Day 1987 that we decided to be an exclusive couple and throw in our lot together. The country club in our subdivision is hosting a special Valentine’s/seafood buffet tonight, so John & I will be going to dinner there tonight.
Deb, congratulations on your 37th Anniversary! That seafood buffet sounds yummy!
Happy anniversary to Deb and John!
Happy Valentine’s Day (and Ash Wednesday) everyone ! And of course Happy Anniversary to Deb and John!
And now …
In Germany there’s a list of “crazy holidays” and today is also “Mettbrötchentag” which means day of the roll with raw minced pork.
In parts of Germany this goes for dinner wth a pint or two of strong beer …
Wolf, no beer for me tonight. But, perhaps, a glass of red wine to toast my lovely wife!
Another BS holiday started by the card and candy companies!
Bob, Diane gave me a wonderful Valentine’s Day card (and I returned the favor) and we had a delicious Valentine meal at a local restaurant. Fun, fun, fun!
