I might’ve mentioned this before, but my ex Donna noted that I was the only person she knew who didn’t worry At All about clothes. I do prefer to look presentable, but will not let that deter me…
Todd, tell Donna you know someone else who is fashion-neutral. Diane buys all my clothing, sets the ensemble for the day out for me, and I wear it. Most days, I have no idea what style or color I’m wearing.
Deb
Happy Father’s Day, George! Have a wonderful day with your two great kids. And happy Father’s Day to all the other dads out there.
We went to the casino buffet with the twins last night—sort of a combination birthday (they were 26 last week) and Father’s Day celebration. After dinner, we gambled a little—and John got a royal flush on a video poker machine, and the payoff covered our evening’s expenses! Father’s Day came a bit early for him. Today, we’ll be staying home for dinner: steak and all the fixings, plus a chocolate-coffee cake (Ina Garten’s recipe, baked by Victoria’s roommate) for dessert.
Jeff, we’re leaving Ohio tomorrow–Patrick and Katie will be driving to the Cleveland Airport–and Diane and I will just be driving back to Western NY. The next six days in Ohio are predicted to be 95 degrees all week long! Western NY might be close to those temps, too!
Deb, thanks for your kind Father’s Day wishes! And congratulations to John for hitting a Jackpot! You dinner, as always, sounds yummy! Patrick and Katie are taking me, Diane, and Carol out to dinner tonight at a swanky restaurant. Like you, I’m in the mood for steak and all the fixings! I’ll probably pick something with chocolate for dessert.
HFD! My girls are popping in today! Kristine and her family just left and Stephanie will be along later! Kristine brought strawberry shortcake with the best strawberries I ever ate, from a local farm! Linda and I went to the casino Friday! She won $120 (fifth straight winning visit) and I made $209! I had a tasty pepper steak lunch, too! All in all a decent weekend!
Todd, thanks for your kind words! It was get to see Patrick and Katie on Father’s Day weekend. Usually, they come home to celebrate Mother’s Day (it just works out better for their schedules), but this year we had a High School Graduation Party in Ohio and Diane wanted Patrick and Katie to join us there and see their cousins who they hadn’t seen since the Pandemic started.
Patrick and Katie did real good when they chose you. Enjoy the day, George!
Jerry, I lucked out when Patrick and Katie arrived! Happy Father’s Day to you, too!
Happy Father’s Day to the man with a style all his own. Enjoy!
Happy Father’s Day to Jerry too, and all the other fathers out there.
Jeff, my style is not to have a style!

Bob, glad you and Linda scored big at the casino! Diane loves strawberries, too!
A happy belated to this happy-looking family, an to all the others who’ve chimed in!
