CINCINNATI BENGALS VS. BUFFALO BILLS (FOX)

Temps should be about 20 degrees at the Kick-Off of the Bengals vs. Bills game with a chance of snow. The Bills are favored by 5 1/2 points but their starting lineup is riddled with injuries. The Smart Money (aka, Vegas odds makers) suggest the Bills should run, run, run the ball to keep it out of Joe Burrow’s hands. Burrow has had the Buffalo Bills number in critical games in the Past. Last week, Burrow lit up the Ravens. Will he do it again to the Bills?

How will your favorite NFL team fare today?

I predict (remember Criswell?) the Giants will have their best weekend in months. OK, who am I kidding, it’s finally their bye week.

We do get the Bills-Bengals game. Go, Bills!

Jeff, I woke up to deer in my backyard and snow falling as I drove to Wegmans to pick up my Sunday NEW YORK TIMES. It won’t be a fun afternoon weather-wise at Highmark Stadium!

Jeff, Diane flies home tomorrow night. She’ll be going from the 80s to single digit temps! I’m buying her some flowers to welcome her home tomorrow.

The 2-10 Saints limp into Tampa to face the 7-5 Buccaneers. In some divisions, 7-5 would hardly put a team third place, but the NFC South is so anemic this season that the Bucs are in first place. I’ll continue to put up decorations during the game: it’s too dispiriting to watch with my whole attention.

Deb, the NFL has a growing problem with the quality of its games. There’s a shortage of good players–especially Offensive Linemen–and a shortage of good coaches. Yet, the NFL is plotting to form “international” teams. Crazy!

Niners also get the bye today, so my full attention will be on the Bills. Hope your watching won’t be disturbed by urgent snow-blowing activity.

Jeff, Josh Allen had to put on his Superman cape to pull this game out of the fire (or snow!). Burrow’s two interceptions changed the whole game!

After a yawner of a first half the Seahawks came storming back in the second half to crush the hated Falcons! A lot of other games didn’t break in my favor, but I didn’t mind seeing the Bills win!
