I don’t watch a lot of HGTV (aka, The Renovation Network) but Diane is a fan of Leslie Jones. Leslie Jones was on Saturday Night Live for five seasons from 2014 to 2019. Since then, she has had a stand-up act and hosted the ABC game show Supermarket Sweep. She has also been a featured performer at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal and the Aspen Comedy Festival.
Leslie Jones tells the audience in the first episode of Roast My Rental that she has stayed in plenty of rentals which makes her an expert. Each week, Jones will find a beat-up rental and have Jasmine Roth (of Help, I Wrecked My House) renovate the dump.
Diane will be watching Roast My Rental solo. GRADE: C
I really like her stuff on The Daily Show, but I don’t think this show is for me.

Jeff, HGTV is 24-hours a day of home renovation. It gets Old fast…
She is frequently funny, but leans too heavily on simply yelling. It works a little better for her than for most of her male colleagues who do the same thing (Jay Leno does it too much as well, among the men, and has gone the farthest despite that, since Rickles).
Todd, Leslie Jones does do a lot of yelling. And, she’s not shy about dropping F-bombs, too.
This was pitiful as was that rental. If I’d booked it, I would march down to the owners and demand my money back.
I like Leslie Jones but I’d rather see her in just about anything else.

I don’t mind it. I watch zillow gone wild and another similar show about amazing and weird houses. Jack mcbrayer and Retta host those. I like jones, loved supermarket sweep. I’m taping all the shows to watch mostly while doing something else

I have other things to do! Like stab sharp pencils in my eyes!
