Masters of Science Fiction and Fantasy Art: A Collection of the Most Inspiring Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Gaming Illustrators in the World is another terrific collection of SF and fantasy artwork. Karen Haber has attempted to show the range of genre art and for the most part I think she succeeds. Some of my favorite SF and fantasy artists are represented: Brom, Jim Burns, Ken Wong, Greg Spalenka, Galan Pang, Marta Dahlig, and James Gurney. If you’re a fan of these talented artists, or if you’re just interested in genre artwork in general, you’ll find Masters of Science Fiction and Fantasy Art a wonderful book.
George, I just saw the end of the Bills/Pats game. Are you doing a happy dance about now?
I was attending a wedding while the Bills surprised the Patriots, Drongo. But I did listen to the last quarter of the game while driving to the Reception. Amazing comebacks two weeks in a row! Sorry to hear the Broncos lost in Tennessee.
And Haber’s eclecticism is likely to make this my favorite of the three.
There are plenty of wonderful pieces of eclectic art in MASTERS OF SF AND FANTASY ART, Todd. Karen Haber does a great job with diversity.
This may also be my favorite of the three, though I doubt I’ll be buying it. These are the kinds of books I used to watch for in the remaindered section of Borders and B&N.
With BORDERS gone, you’re going to have to hope the remainders at B&N continue to pile up, Rick.
