I am reading a book of fantasy stories right now-by Peter Beagle. It’s a struggle for me as a very literal person but I am persevering.
Fantasy stories sometimes remind me of Robert Frost’s comment about playing tennis without a net. I think that’s why there’s so much bad fantasy fiction. The best fantasy writers set up some guidelines to establish some boundaries. Speaking of great fantasy writers, I’ll be posting a review of THE BEST OF MICHAEL MOORCOCK in a few days.
