Taken 2 opens on Friday so I’m assuming this promotion is an attempt to goose up the Opening Weekend numbers. Sam’s Club, and I’m assuming other wholesalers like BEST BUY, are selling Taken for $9.98 with a $10 coupon good for a ticket to Taken 2. That’s right: you pay nearly $10 for the Blu-ray version of Taken and you get a free ticket to Taken 2 worth $10. If you haven’t seen Taken it’s basically a kidnap movie. Liam Neeson’s daughter gets kidnapped and Liam spends the bulk of the movie tracking down the kidnappers and killing them. Plenty of action and suspense! I’m taking a wild guess that Taken 2 will be more of the same. Fine with me!
I liked TAKEN. Probably will like this one as well.
From the trailer I saw of TAKEN 2, Randy, the terrorists are after the whole family. Looks good!
Great deal! Jackie is anxious to see TAKEN 2. She loved the first one.
I liked TAKEN a lot, too, Jeff. Jackie and I have the same tastes on several fronts: custard and Canada. But we differ on Navy SEALS novels and casinos.
Well, you’ll know where to find her in Cleveland. The casino is pratically across the street from the hotel so I’m guessing she’ll be there every day!
Unless the Cleveland casino has a great buffett, you won’t be seeing me or Diane there, Jeff.
But just in case it isn’t available there, she is stocking up by having pizza again today!
I consider pizza as one of the basic food groups, Jeff.
This movie doesn’t interest me at all, I’m not much for these things. I’m really wishing I could be in Cleveland, and would be if I could just snap my fingers and be in the hotel lobby, but I’d have to get on one of those airplane things, go through an airport, go through TSA’s “handing” of me. Bah! No thanks.
Pizza: SIGH. I really love it, but can’t have it if I’m going to lose any weight, and that’s something I have to do! So enjoy all of you B’coners, and those who aren’t going either. I’ll bet there’s someplace in Cleveland that has really great pizza, it’s just a matter of finding it… Meanwhile, I’ll be having a hard boiled egg for lunch. Oh poor me.
Art Scott grew up in Cleveland so he’s going to be our Guide to pizza, custard, and all sorts of goodies, Rick. Life is short. You have to grab for all the gusto you can!
George, according to the expert the Harrah’s buffet is indeed a good one (it is one of her favorites in Vegas) so maybe we can check it out. I’llsend you the link when I get home.
I’ve found that Harrah’s in Vegas has a pretty good buffett so the one in Cleveland should be pretty good, too, Jeff. We’ll check it out when we get to Cleveland tomorrow afternoon.
