For the Star Wars fan on your Christmas list, here are two sets of Star Wars movies on Blu-ray. AMAZON has the Complete set for $84 and these two volumes for $36 each. Yet BJ’s Warehouse has these Blu-ray sets for $29.99 each. Volume One includes Episodes 1-3, Volume Two includes Episodes 4-6. But this $29.99 price will go up on December 16 so you’re going to have to hustle to get these bargain prices. May the Force be with you!
I don’t do Blu-ray yet, but I’d skip 1-3, hate them with a passion, and go with 4-6, though I’m not especially fond of RETURN OF THE JEDI.
Volume Two with STAR WARS, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, and RETURN OF THE JEDI is my favorite, too, Randy. You can buy a Blu-ray player for under #100 and, trust me, they’re worth it!
Bargain it is.
Agree on 1-3 however.
At the $29.99 price, even Volume One with Episodes 1-3 looks good, Jeff. Bargain it is, indeed!
I must be one of the (very?) few who is entertained by episodes 1, 2 and 3. Yes Jar-Jar is a pain in the keester, but so are the “teddy bears” in Ep 6. I wonder which version these are? The originals, the first updates or the second updates?
I guess since it’s Blu-ray, it must be the most recent updates… Duh. I already have two sets, but this is tempting…
My advice is to buy these Blu-ray sets and donate your old DVD sets to your local public library for a tax deduction, Rick. That’s what I do when I upgrade my movies to Blu-ray. Works like a charm!
Log in works but I have nothing to say. Well, maybe that after the first couple of movies I lost interest in the franchise and maybe saw one more along the way. This is one of those movies that needs to be seen of a big screen and I’m loathe to enter a theater these days. I get tired of shushing assholes.
You need an 84-inch HDTV, Bob. Then you’ll have your own personal theater at home! Just ask Santa…
Han shot first.
Yeah, Drongo, Han shot first but that Bad Karma caused him to be frozen in carbonite.
