I know most Christmas presents are supposed to be surprises, but I’ve dropped enough hints to insure that one of the gifts under our tree will be The Album Collection: Vol. 1 1973-1984. This is a completely remastered set of Bruce Springsteen’s first eight albums. I love these early Springsteen albums and they contain his best songs. Check out what’s on these CDs:

George, I grew up listening to “Born in the U.S.A.” and “Dancing in the Dark.” It was almost as if Springsteen hadn’t sung anything else! I’m not familiar with his early songs though I like “Streets of Philadelphia” which he sang for the film “Philadelphia.”
Prashant, with the new re-mastered sound these classic songs should sound fabulous!
I’ll pass. I like Bruce as a person and like some of his stuff but not this much.
Jeff, I’m a big fan of the early Bruce Springteen songs. These albums were played constantly back in the Seventies!
I have all these albums so, as Jeff says, I’ll have to pass. I’ll just have to spin “Darkness on the Edge of Town” (my favorite Springsteen album) once more!
