With the Buffalo Bills defeating the Jets 21-12, the Bills surprisingly find themselves in First Place in the AFC East. Reality sets in this week as the Bills travel to Carolina to face the Panthers. The Bills are 7 1/2 point underdogs (which is about right). New Head Coach Sean McDermott was the Defensive Coordinator of the Carolina Panthers for six seasons so he knows the ordeal he has in front of him this week. How will your favorite NFL team do this week?
Detroit doesn’t play until Monday night. They had some good plays by rookies in their first game. Hope they can continue.
Steve, the Lions had a great comeback win over the Arizona Cardinals last week. Very impressive!

Read an article in our paper recently about how the NFL may be important to other states, Calif. can do without them, mentioning the niners moved out of SF and the Raiders are going to Vegas. They looked harshly on the judas’s move to LA along with the Rams. the article was not complimentary about the owners of the chargers or the rams and raiders.
Maggie, commentators have noted that the L.A. Chargers played in a 27,000 seat stadium last week…and a lot of those seats were empty.
The Giants can’t lose today, guaranteed! Of course, that’s because they are hosting the Lions on Monday night. Their offense is a mess so I’m not expecting much.

Maggie, the Chargers are hosting the Dolphins today.
Jeff, the Miami Dolphins will be very rested since their game with Tamp Bay was moved to November (their BYE week) because of Hurricane Irma.
After an embarrassing loss last week when they failed to score a touchdown even from the four-yard line, the Saints meet the Patriots in the Superdome. I know the Patriots also struggled struggled in their opening game, but I fully expect the Saints to be 0-2 at the end of today’s game.

Dallas might have a tough time in Denver. Denver’s defense is mighty good.
I didn’t realize that Dallas hasn’t beat Denver in 20 years. Let’s hope that trend continues.

The Seahawks are at home against the 49ers. I think they’ll win, they certainly should, though there are injuries and questions.

Yes, well, the least the Seahawks finally, after 7 quarters, managed to score a TD, even if they did then miss the extra point. Still, 13-9 win against the 49ers is nothing to brag about.
