BUFFALO BILLS VS. CHICAGO BEARS (CBS)

All I want for Christmas is for the Buffalo Bills to win in Chicago today despite the single-digit temperatures and chilling winds! The Bills are 8-point favorites, but the weather conditions could be dicey–both in Chicago and Buffalo. After the Bills game, some friends were supposed to come over to celebrate Christmas Eve with us but right now we have a county-wide Travel Ban in effect. Have a hot toddy or hot chocolate to enjoy the countdown to Christmas!

go bills. Sorry about the weather. We’re having gorgeous weather now, but this morning when I left on my walk, I still wore my heavy coat. Forecast for tomorrow inland is 81. I’ll be about 4-5 degrees less than that. One of my cousins who was leaving St. Louis yesterday to fly to wichita waited several hours at the gate before they finally took off. I”ve seen tons of pix of heavy snow all over

    Stay warm, George!

Go, Bills! The Giants can actually clinch a playoff berth today. All they need to do is beat the Vikings in Minneapolis (at least they’ll be indoors) and have a couple of other teams lose. But I very much doubt that’s gonna happen. As long as Washington loses to Dallas, and the Giants win next week, they can still make the playoffs, but I think we need to just celebrate the improvement they’ve made this year, get a few more players (like receivers) and look forward to next year.

Jeff, sorry about the Giants loss to the Vikings. I thought the Giants could pull off a win, but the lucky Vikings were able to kick that winning Field Goal! The Bills won a sloppy game in Chicago. They can’t fly back to Buffalo–the Buffalo Airport is closed until Monday–so the Bills will have to stay in Chicago for Christmas.

The 5-9 Saints journey to Cleveland to take on the equally underwhelming 6-8 Browns. Weather will undoubtedly be a significant factor. It’s not like it’s particular warm here right now (we haven’t been above freezing in southeast Louisiana since Wednesday and don’t expect to be above 32 degrees until sometime tomorrow), but at least if the game were being played in New Orleans, it would be inside. I can’t see a team that’s accustomed to playing in a city where air conditioning is typically still running in November pulling out a brilliant performance in arctic conditions. Stay warm everyone—and Merry Christmas!

I’ll b watching Detroit today. They are playing in warmer climes. Cold here but we got barely any snow. Wind is making it feel colder than it is.
