The 10-3 Buffalo Bills travel to Patti Abbott Country to take on the 12-1 Detroit Lions. Some sports “experts” are hyping this game as a Super Bowl Preview. I don’t know about that. Both teams have plenty of injuries so we’ll see who shows up to play this game. The mighty Lions are 2½ point favorites. I’m not optimistic that the Bills can win this game.
How will your favorite NFL team perform today?
Go, Lions! Much as I like the Bills, I’ve always had a soft spot in my head for Detroit! I don’t even know who the Seahawks are playing, but they’ve been on a small roll lately and I hope they prevail!
Still waiting for the Charro remark to pass muster!
Bob, the Lions are favored over the Bills and I’m almost resigned to another loss.
And I will miss the game because I am at a concert. Yikes? Dare I leave my phone on inside my purse?
Well…not audibly.
Patti, I’m sure plenty of people will be checking their cell phones for Bills/Lions updates!
Great! Just kidding! The Giants might have made it close against the flailing Saints last week (though for the second time this season, a missed – easy – field goal at the end cost them the game), but they won’t do the same against the Ravens in the Meadowlands today. Expect Baltimore to dice and slice them to bits.
Go, Bills!
Jeff, I’m guessing the Ravens will “rest” some of their starters. They have a couple of key games in the next few weeks.
The 8-5 Commanders journey to the Big Easy to take on the 5-8 Saints. Amazingly, the Boys in Black & Gold are not yet mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, but I suspect after today’s game—with Jake Haener making his first NFL start as QB, replacing the injured Derek Carr—they just might be.
Deb, the Commanders are my surprise game of this season. I didn’t expect much but the Commanders’ rookie QB is great!
Alice notes that her favorite team, because of Mahomes, the Chiefs (grumph) will play the Browns today. Given how her podcasters keep whining about how the Chiefs keep winning through ridiculous luck, I expect the field to open and swallow the Browns in the third quarter.
Todd, the Browns have already given the Chiefs a fumble which Mahomes turned into a TD.
OK, we’re playing the Packers and expected to lose!
Bob, the Packers are still upset about losing to the Lions last week!
Missed a chance at end of the half, but Bills stepped it up at start of the 3rd with a quick td. Maybe the Buffalo wings I made for dinner last night had a mystic salutary effect. Keep those scores coming!
Art, keep those Buffalo Wings on the Sunday menu for three more weeks!
