The Buffalo Bills play the New England Patriots tomorrow night on Monday Night Football but I figured I’d put up the graphic today. The Bills are underdogs to the undefeated Patriots. In their Week Two meeting at Ralph Wilson Stadium, Tom Brady threw for 466 yards in a 40-32 win. I don’t expect the score of tomorrow night’s game to be high but I suspect the result will be the same. How is your favorite NFL team going to do today?
Buffalo has an uphill fight on its hands! I hope they win!
Bob, the bills pretty much have to “run the table” if they want to make the Playoffs.
Of course, the Giants had that game won against New England last Sunday but, as in game one in Dallas, threw it away with terrible clock management and poor play calling at the end. I hope you have better fortune.
The Giants have their bye this week. I hope they’re studying charts.
Jeff, I was hoping for a snowstorm in New England tomorrow night, but it looks like the weather will be mild for kickoff. I’m not optimistic.
I’m just hoping Phillip Rivers doesn’t get hurt. Of course I hope the same for all the Chargers players, but Rivers is the heart and soul of the team. Our paper had something yesterday about he wants to be a one team player. If the chargers do move, I wonder if he will retire.
I hope Green Bay stops the losing streak. I’m hoping good things for the Bills, especially against NE. I’d love to see Carolina be undefeated rather than NE.
Maggie, the Patriots have owned the Bills for the last decade. Rivers is an underrated QB. Rumors abound abound about the Chargers moving to LA.
I think it’s just a matter of time before the chargers leave. Unless the st. louis owner gets his way. There’s been talk of SD getting the Dolphins as i guess they want to leave Miami. Time will tell
Maggie, I would think several NFL teams would love to move to San Diego!
As the rough beast that is the 4-6 Saints slouches toward their bye week (yes, when I think of this season’s Saints, my thoughts turn apocalyptic), I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking that had the teams used better personnel management (including not trading away some of its best talent for dubious newbies) and had given Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan the boot long ere last week, the team’s fortunes might be vastly different. I’m anticipating some major shake-ups in the off-season, up to and including Head Coach Sean Payton’s exit.
Deb, sadly the Saints look a lot like last year’s 49ers when Harbaugh was thinking of leaving for Michigan (which he did). When the Head Coach is rumored to be bailing out, the team tends toward chaos.
I’ve written off the Texans even though their division is so weak that they might have a chance. Except that they don’t have a QB. Neither does Dallas. Pro football in Texas sucks.
Bill, the Texans could do the Bills a favor by beating the Jets.
Bill, they’re playing the Jets today so they certainly have a shot at winning.
I’m hoping Romo’s return doesn’t do anything to stop Dallas’s losing streak. Jerry Jones makes George Steinbrenner look good.
Jeff, I fear for Romo’s health when he returns. He’s had so many injuries! Why play him when there’s no chance of making the Playoffs? Why not let Romo rest up for next season?
That would be too sensible for Jones.
Jeff, Bill Crider despises Jerry Jones.
George, I don’t watch (or follow) sports much, but as a Yankee born and bred I am rooting for the Pats going 16-0 this season — which means the total devastation of your beloved Bills. Their bodies will strew the field. Sorry.
Jerry, if History repeats itself, you’re right about the Patriots beating the Bills. But, as they say, “On any given Monday Night…”
Too much is made of the playoffs. Let the boys run and play, it’s good exercise, and the sponsors make lots of money.
Today it’s the can’t-hold-a-4th-quarter-lead Seahawks vs the once-we-were-good Forty-Niners. Sad to say I don’t much care.
Rick, the Playoffs have become a barometer of the excellence of a team. If you don’t make the Playoffs, there’s a stereotype that you’re a crummy team.
But that’s just my current mood. I’ll snap out of it pretty soon.
Rick, Bills fans–who haven’t seen their team in the Playoffs since 1999–feel your pain.
I couldn’t bear to watch the chargers Our local newscaster said it was an embarassment
Maggie, I was hoping the Chargers would beat the Chiefs because the Bills play the Chiefs next Sunday!
Well, the Seahawks won and looked good doing it! Ten down and six to go!
Bob, the Seahawks looked impressive. Maybe they’ve turned things around.
