BUFFALO BILLS VS. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Pierre Thomas, Drew Brees
Deb won’t have to worry about this game. The 6-1 Saints are coming off a bye and face the 3-4 Bills. The Saints are favored by 12 points. My sister Karen will be in attendance. Karen’s visiting her daughter, Tara, who has season tickets to the Saint games. I’m just hoping the Bills can keep the game close. But in the last three games the Saints have played after a bye, they’ve averaged over 40 points a game and won by an average of 17 points. Not good for the Bills prospects this week. This is Week Eight of the 2013 NFL season. How do you think your favorite NFL team is doing?

The Saints are actually 5-1, George; and while I don’t like to count my chickens–especially when it comes to sports–I have a good feeling about this game. Still, as my husband is wont to say, count no game over until the final whistle.

Deb, I guess I was already putting this game in the Saints’ Win Column. Drew Brees is a Hall of Fame quarterback. Thad Lewis is a Practice Squad QB. This game should be No Contest.

George, I keep telling you, Lewis is the starter, not the practice squad guy. He was once, but he’s not now. Give him a chance. I’d love to see an upset, just for the fun of it, but it’s not a game broadcast here anyway. I guess I’ll watch Patriots-Dolphins. Seattle plays tomorrow. They should beat the Rams, who are without Bradford.

Rick, the Seahawks could run the table. I don’t see a team on their remaining schedule who could beat them. Thad Lewis is playing only because Kevin Kolb is out with a concussion and E. J. Manuel has a sprained LCL. This is Lewis’ third NFL start…and he’s facing a future Hall of Fame QB: Drew Brees. This game could get ugly fast.

I know all that George, but still, he’s the starter. I’m doubt the Seahawks win win the rest. They have to play the Saints and the Niners in SF, and the Falcons aren’t as bad as their record.

Rick, our former Practice Squad QB fumbled the ball three times and threw an interception in the Saint game. The only reason why Thad Lewis isn’t still on the Practice Squad is because all the Bills’ real QBs are hurt.

I told you the Jets were doomed in Cincinnati. That was embarrassing. Glad the Giants won (though they are not going to the playoffs, no matter what some players think) but the really happy news was the Cowboys getting torched and turning on each other. Ameirca’s Team, not!

You walk around the casinos in Vegas and every single game is on at least one television, and all the dealers are wearing different team jerseys.
