The Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers play a Must-Win game today. The Bills are 3-point favorites, but after the 23-19 loss to the Houston Texas a week ago and with mounting injuries–two of the starters on the Bills Offensive Line will be out for this game–I’m cautiously pessimistic about the outcome of this game.
Aaron Rodgers, who turns 42 next week, sat out the Steelers’ 31-28 loss to the Bears in Week 12 with a fractured left hand, but it is reported he will play against Buffalo this afternoon. The Bills defense is riddled with injuries, too. A loss for either team will send them plummeting out of the Playoff category and into the dubious In the Hunt status.
How will your favorite NFL perform today?
The atrocious 2-9 Saints journey to Miami to take on the not-much-better-at-4-7 Miami Dolphins. Yes, the game will be on, but I will be putting up Christmas decorations.
Deb, this is the part of the season when 2-9 teams and 4-7 teams start to run for the Bus. Winning doesn’t help much, but losing results in a better Draft pick…
The 2-10 Giants (the first team eliminated from the playoffs) will NOT lose today, guaranteed!
Of course, tomorrow, when they visit the 10-2 Patriots, is another story.
They finally have the bye next week, but too little and too late.
Jeff, the Bills had their Bye about a month ago. I was hoping it might help them recover from a rash of injuries…but it didn’t. In today’s game with the Steelers, Josh Allen will have to run for his Life because the Offensive Line is missing two starters. It could be an ugly game…
What is even more frustrating is that the Giants beat the Chargers and the Super Bowl champion Eagles – handily! – yet lost to the woeful Saints, as well as blowing several games they had all but won, particularly the giveaway in Denver.
Jeff, there has been a lot of inconsistency in the NFL this season. Teams that should win…lose. Teams that should lose..win! I can’t remember a season where the Bills had more injuries than they do now…
Since the chargers left San Diego, I don’t really have a team to root for. I do like the chiefs, the saints, – the miners no
Maggie, sadly the Chiefs and the Saints are struggling this season… And, so are the Buffalo Bills!
The Niners took care of the Browns without difficulty. Nostalgic pangs seeing a few quick clips of my once home team in my once hometown, but that was in another century . . . Not getting the network version of the Bills game, but I`ll see it on Red Zone. So Go Bills!
Art, the Bills are off to a Bad Start with two turnovers. Glad the Niners won again!
The Seahawks shut out the Vikings! Isn’t that the team with the tranny cheerleader? I’m delighted to see that the Bills beat the hated Stealers! I believe the Jets won, two! Huzzah!
Bob, the Bills sleep-walked through the First Half, but came out on fire in the Second Half. They had 249 yard rushing on the vaulted Steeler Defense!
Alice saddened by some bad games from the Chiefs, and mentioned how she was hoping the Bills would lose to make it easier for the Chiefs to muddle in. I mentioned to her that a Bills win at least would make you, Geurge, a bit more fannishly happy…congrats, thus.
Todd, the Chiefs, the Bills, and the Ravens have all struggled this season. The Bills face the Bengals next Sunday with a rejuvenated Joe Burrow. Yikes!
