The inconsistent Buffalo Bills (7-5) face the Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-3) with current NFL passing leader, 44-year-old Tom Brady. With their disappointing loss to the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football, the Bills’ chances of making the Playoffs dropped to 50%. A loss in Tampa Bay would drop their already iffy chances further. The Buccaneers are 3 1/2 point favorites. How will your favorite NFL team do today?
I wish the Bills luck even though I like the Bucs! The Seahawks play hapless Houston (2-10) so maybe they can win two in a row!
Bob, bet your house on the Seahawks today!
10 minutes in, Seahawks are behind 0-7.
One guess – you are correct, they will lose! The Giants go west, where they are 10 1/2 point underdogs to the Chargers. Deb’s Saints are in the Meadowlands to play the Jets at 1:00.
Jeff, the Bills are in sunny and warm Tampa Bay to take on Brady and the Bucs while we just survived 70 mph winds! And, not a speck of snow on the ground here. This does NOT look like December to me!
As Jeff noted, the sinking ship that is the Saints (5-7, with five losses in a row) journey to the Meadowlands to take on the 3-9 Jets. I will not be surprised to see the Saints lose yet another game, their playing has been utterly inept since QB Jamies Winston sustained a season-ending injury. It’s as if when Winston was carried off the field, he took the Saints’ ability to play with him. That’s some bad voodoo there.
Yes, but the Jets have been underachieving all season. If the Saints defense is on the ball, they should win. They are the favorites. Weather will be chilly – upper 40s but feeling like upper 30s – but nice, though the wind can be a factor. It has calmed down from last night’s 40-50 mph gusts, but still could be at 20 mph or more.
Jeff, Diane and I went out this morning to pick up all the tree branches that fell because of the high winds. We lost power briefly yesterday at the height of the wind storm and our GENERAC natural gas generator started right up and kept the lights on until power was restored.
Deb, when the Bills used to lose five or six games in a row an found themselves out of the Playoffs (again!), the safe bet was that the Bills would tank in order to improve their NFL Draft position.
When it was 13-6, I thought, the Jets have games like this almost every week (except when they are blown out) and they lose most of them. It did end up a sort of fourth quarter blowout.
Jeff, the Bills are playing like cadavers against the Bucs. It’s already 10-0.
The Jets have two very high draft choices, theirs and the Seahawks, in the upcoming draft, so they should get some good players. Last year the Bills were everyone’s favorite team. What happened?
Rick, Covid-19 and bad drugs.
Bad drugs? At least it went to overtime.
Bears ahead of Packers. Since Rogers craziness, I’ll root for anyone against the Packers.
Rick, it’s tough to beat the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The Bills once again didn’t capitalize on their chances to beat Brady and the Bucs.
