The 6-7 Buffalo Bills play the 6-7 Washington Redskins. Although the two teams have the same records, their prospects are vastly different! The Bills are pretty much out of Playoff contention. But Washington is fighting for a home Playoff game and the lead in the NFC East. Go figure! How will your favorite NFL team do today?
I guarantee the Saints will not lose today! Because, of course, they’re not playing today. They take on Detroit in tomorrow’s Monday Night game–a game that probably seemed more exciting when it was scheduled than it undoubtedly will be when it takes place.
Deb, a lot of preseason predictions have crashed and burned. Both the Saints and the Bills were supposed to be Playoff contenders. Not so much. Do you have all your Christmas shopping done? We’re just waiting for some presents to be delivered by UPS from AMAZON.
The Cowboys have already lost to the Jets, so that leaves me with the Texans in a must-win game with Indy. The Texans have too many injuries to beat a good team, but Indy hasn’t been very good so far. It’s a tossup, but I think Indy takes it by a couple of points.
Bill, the Texans could beat the Colts if Luck isn’t playing. With him, the Colts are a very average team.
Oy vey, don’t remind me. The Giants – who have no one to blame but themselves – are facing the 13-0 Panthers at the Meadowlands in a game they need to – but are very unlikely to – win.
The Bills need to win over Washington to help them, as the Cowboys already lost and there is a good chance the Eagles will lose tonight to Arizona.
Go, Bills!
Jeff, Washington is up 21-0. Clearly, the Bills are running for the bus.
don’t think the chargers have a chance. There was a bit in the paper yesterday about the team members and their families planning to go on the field after the game, as well as fans. The NFL hasn’t made the decision yet about the LA team(s) but everyone here seems to feel its a done deal.
The Pack needs to win, and they should win. My fingers are crossed for the Bills, Texans, & Saints. Sorry Jeff, still can’t root for a team that has Eli Manning
Maggie, I think the Chargers are headed for LA. The Bills are headed for the golf course.
Seahawks host Cleveland today, so infantile “Johnny Football” will get his taste of 12th man and the noise. It may rain. I think the Seahawks should win this one. They have two tough games after this one, so they do need to win to be sure of a playoff spot. The question is, who will run the ball?
Rick, the Seahawks should show Johnny Football what it’s like to play in the NFL.
The Bills are definitely not holding up their end. The Giants are tied so far, which is better than 21-0 down.
Well, that didn’t last. 35-7 is just embarrassing.
Jeff, at least the Giants came back to tie the game. The Bills took the day off.
If the Giants didn’t have to play the last three minutes of the game they’d have wrapped up the division long since.
Jeff, if I were the owner of the Buffalo Bills, I’d fire Rex Ryan. Ryan’s old team, the Jets, might make the Playoffs. The Bills have become worse than the 9-7 team they were last season–they’ve regressed under Rex.
The Giants looked awful but still almost won. I wish they had, someone needs to take Carolina down a notch before the playoffs. Seahawks are looking good. I hope the Rams don’t beat them up next week.
I also hope the league stops both St. Louis and San Diego from moving. L.A. wants a team, let them get a brand new one. If someone does have to move to L.A. Let it be the Rams, though, at least that’s where they came from (before that they were in Cleveland.)
Rick, it seems like the NFL wants a team in LA so they’re supporting the movement of teams. Like you, I’m against it but the moneyed interests hold all the cards.
