People either like Sarah Brightman and her singing or they don’t. I fall into the LIKE column. Sarah Brightman’s new CD, Dream Chaser includes plenty of dreamy, ethereal music. My favorite song is “Glosoli.” Many listeners would consider Sarah Brightman’s songs “background music.” In the case of Dream Chaser, they might be right. Not as familiar with her as I should be.
Sarah Brightman used to be married to Andrew Lloyd Webber, Patti.
Not a big fan.
Plenty of people share your opinion, Jeff.
I listened to this CD the other day. I liked it, though I don’t think I’ll listen to it often.
Bill, I had the same feeling when I finished listening to DREAM CHASER. Not Sarah Brightman’s best work.
Not familiar with her singing, and the “preview” didn’t tell me enough to know if I’d be glad I listened to the album or not. I guess it’s a maybe.
Rick, Sarah Brightman has done some PBS specials that your local public library night own on DVD. That would give you an idea of her range at little cost to you. Sarah Brightman’s concert here in October is already sold out.
Not a fan. Reminds too much of music played in elevators and Dentist offices.
Steve, you’ve captured Sarah Brightman’s style in a nutshell.
George, I am a big fan of her “Phantom of the Opera” sung separately with Michael Crawford and Antonio Banderas. Andrew Lloyd Webber probably brought the best out of her with that one song. She was married to him at one time. Her “Memory” duet with Elaine Page is also good.

Prashant, I have all of Sarah Brightman’s CDs. And I’ve seen PHANTOM OF THE OPERA six times, mostly in Toronto when Colm Wilkinson played The Phantom. The Canadian production soundtrack of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is my favorite–although I own other versions.
I’m a HUGE fan of Brightman’s work and am sorry to hear, from you and others, that this isn’t one of her best CD’s. I have several of her live concerts on DVD and pull them out several times during a given year to just revel in the sight and sound of her music. I think she is amazing. Would love to see her live one day.
I’m tempted to see if I can get tickets to the Sarah Brightman concert in Toronto, Carl, since the Buffalo concert has been sold out for months. I’ll have to check out Sarah Brightman on DVD.
Her latest DVD, Symphony, is great. The church they filmed it in is gorgeous, as of course is Sarah in all her fine dresses.
Carl, I may have to buy that SYMPHONY DVD.
Not sure how long it will last but you can see the whole thing on YouTube here:
