I like Colbie Caillat’s pop music so when I saw this Christmas music CD on sale at BEST BUY for $9.99 I couldn’t resist. After listening to Colbie and friends sing these songs a few times, I’d have to rate Christmas in the Sand a mixed bag. “Merry Christmas Baby” is good, but “Silver Bells” not so much. My favorite song on this CD is “Mistletoe” (check it out below). If you’re a Colbie Caillat fan, you already have this CD. For the rest of you, this is not an essential purchase. GRADE: C+

Um, what about those of us who wouldn’t know her from the late Jenni Rivera and wouldn’t know either if we tripped over them in the street?

Colbie Caillat is cute as a button, Jeff. She has a pleasant pop voice and I’m sure you’ve heard her music in stores or on an elevator.
I saw this on iTunes and previewed a few of the cuts, but decided not to buy it. Pretty generic with a slight country feel to her voice. I bought an album by Cee Lo Green (CeeLo’s Magic Moment) instead.
Let me know what you think of CEELO’S MAGIC MOMENT, Rick. I’ve read mixed reviews.
Best Buy sucks. Boycott Best Buy.
As for the canary, never heard of her.
Bob, what do you have against Best Buy? Seems to me I recall a warranty you weren’t happy with?
She did that song Bubbly. God I hate that song.
“Bubbly” was overplayed on radio and store loudspeakers everywhere in America, Steve. It probably made Colbie Caillat a few million dollars.
Right, Rick. Got my older girl a laptop at BB with an extended warranty. It kept breaking down and they kept insisting it was a software problem and not under warranty. They lied. It overheated because the cooling fan was insufficient.
