I’m out of the loop too, with a record identical to Jerry’s. Aside from WICKED (which actually opened in November), were there any big holiday movies in the theaters this year? How soon till Clooney and Pitt remake THE SUNSHINE BOYS? How many theatre chains will join Party City and Big Lots in bankruptcy court next year?
Fred, I agree with you. I have no idea how Regel and AMC are still operating with no major movies for Christmas. Hollywood promises that 2025 will be different…but I’m skeptical.
Ditto, and I saw even fewer movies than Jerry. No interest in half of WICKED, or, to be honest, the second half either. We saw the show and I was less than whelmed. Will probably watch DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE, as we saw the previous ones and Jackie loves Hugh Jackman. WOLFS? Never heard of it. Jackie hates Dylan and I don’t love Timothee Chalamet, so that would be down the list.
Close to 100% (well, 90%) of our viewing these days is in streaming services, the rest in a few last network shows. Occasionally we wastch a movie on television, though most are things we’ve seen many times – MEET ME IN St. LOUIS and LOVE ACTUALLY this week, TWO FOR THE ROAD and WHEN HARRY MET SALLY on NYE.
Jeff, Diane will be watching WHEN HARRY MET SALLY next week. Patrick and Katie made it back to their home safely. Patrick leaves for Houston this weekend. Our weather-guessers claim we are going to get a “weather pattern shift” on New Year’s Day: cold and snow for the next two weeks! If that’s true, the Bills Playoff games will be a winter wonderland…again!
My wife went to see WICKED today! The cost of popcorn and a Coke was $33!!! I wouldn’t pay that much to see the cast of THE VIEW immolated! (Well, maybe I would!)
Bob, movie theater prices are high for just about everything. That popcorn and a Coke added up to $33 means you’ll have to win more money at the casino!
Zero films in theaters for me, and fewer than usual at home while catching up with streamed TV the new “cable” array is allowing for. I’ll have to refresh my vague memory of what WOLFS is, as well.
Again, I’m out of the loop. I did start DEADPOOL V S. WOLVERINE, but quit halfway through; it just didn’t hold my interest.
Jerry, I thought the DEADPOOL movie was too long. But, in this weak movie year, it made the cut.

I wouldn’t watch two of the four you listed! However, I can’t remember the last time I went to the theater, so the point is moot!
Bob, movie theaters are dying. The streaming services will play the movies for us…for a price.

Todd, WOLFS is a buddy movies on Apple TV+.
