For Elvis fans here’s a new set including previously unreleased concert songs with some studio “reference” tracks from 1974. Elvis is in fine voice, the crowd noise is minimal, and the remastered sound is fabulous. RCA has been releasing rarities from their Vault for the past few years. This may be the last of the Elvis alternate tracks.

Never new he did a version of First Time Ever I saw Your Face. Hate that song. Otherwise not a bad selection.
Steve, there are several seldom heard Elvis songs on this set.
I’m with Steve. I always hated that song too.
Jeff, “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” was a big hit in the early 1970s. You don’t hear it much today.
Elvis is having a great posthumous career.
Bill, these Elvis box sets keep showing up with new material from the Vault.
Oh come on. By 1968 Elvis was washed up except for the Vegas crowd. My CD shredder would likely reject this mess. By the way, how would he do “Thus Sprach Zarathustra” when there are no words? I hope you got this free in a cereal box, because I cannot imagine paying a cent for it. I doubt that’s the case however, since it appears to be a Japanese import, which are usually expensive. Sorry if I sound like Cap’n Bob, but really, this one looks really awful.
Rick, this set would appeal to any Elvis fan. The King is in great voice and good spirits. There is a lot of energy on these CDs!
Hey, what’s with the slur, Rick? I’m always the very picture of sweetness and light.
No slur, Bob, just a comment in admiration of your sensible outlook.
In that case, Rick, thank you. I wasn’t going to comment on the CD but in general I don’t like live performance recordings of my fab faves.
