After The Flash, Green Lantern was my favorite DC comic book character. I liked the galactic federation of Green Lanterns policing the hostile universe. I liked the innovative plots and the ballet-like battle scenes. This animated version of Green Lantern doesn’t take much time to explore Green Lantern’s “Secret Origins” opting instead to get right into the action. There’s more violence than I would have expected in an animated movie, so the target market is for an older crowd. If you’re a Green Lantern fan, you’re going to want to watch this. GRADE: B+
Couldn’t they find anyone more suited to the role than Seth Rogen for the forthcoming green Lantern movie?
I’m surprised they didn’t go with Nic Cage.
Art Scott says that without the ideas from comic books, Hollywood wouldn’t have anything to film. I think Ryan Reynolds would make a great Green Lantern, Jeff.
I just never know what I am going to find on this blog. You do have far-reaching tastes in all things.
I thrive on unpredictability, Patti. I also have a variety of interests, as you point out.
I hadn’t read anything about Rogen being in the Green Lantern movie. Think it almost certain though, that he’ll be in the Green Hornet flick.
If that’s true, Drongo, Rogen will be rolling in green!
