Deb, Diane is taking me to a swanky restaurant to celebrate my Birthday. Right now, much of Western NY is shrouded in fog from the tropical temperatures and humidity we’re experiencing. Wild weather!
Hell, are you still around? Every morning I wake up and wonder if that old geezer George Kelley is still alive. Evidently you are, and young whippersnappers like you keep on having birthdays.
Congrats on the big 7-2! And kudos to Dianne for still putting up with you.
Jerry, thank you for calling me a young whippersnapper (no one has done that before!). I feel perky and ready to tackle the stacks of books and music CDs and Blu-rays stacked up all over my house. To celebrate my Birthday, I plan to watch LOKI on DISNEY+ this afternoon.
Haps, George. Enjoy the “all about George” day! Must be hard to buy a gift for the Man Who Has Everything. I hope Diane did a good job. Enjoy your dinner at “Swanky’s”.
Happy 72nd!!! I hope there are many more Happy Birthday’s announced here on the blog for years and years and years to come. May you have a healthy, happy, and fulfilling year ahead!
You only want another decade? Aim higher, kid! Happy birfday, and in your honor I’m also eating at a restaurant tonight! No swank, but I discovered the fajita salad at El Toro is mucho bueno!
Happy Birthday, George! Hope you’re having a great day.
I don’t look at your blog regularly, but I check in every once in a while and then click back to see the earlier posts that I have missed. I am amazed at the profusion of books, music, and films that you absorb and review. I love reading but I have slowed down in recent years, in part due to eye issues. (I turned 75 at the end of May). Your posts often inspire me to order another book or add another film to my watchlist. The buying another book part sometimes raises an objection from my wife, Diane, but I try to placate her by showing her your review. It’s uncanny how often your interests and tastes match mine. 🙂
Michael, I’m glad your Diane has the same behavior patterns with regard to New Acquisitions that my Diane has! It shows that Dianes tend to think alike. I try to use the Library for many of the books, CDs, and movies I review on my blog. But, if the Library won’t buy it, then I will! Thanks for the kind words and hope you visit the blog for more stimulation!
Happy Birthday, young man!
I also hope that you’ll continue writing your informative and entertaining blog for a long time.
Wish you a nice family day and all the best for the future.
PS:
Being six years older I know that in our modern health systems you can enjoy life for a long time if you don’t do ridiculous things like smoking, eating and drinking too much -so please behave!
We need you!
Wolf, thanks for the sound advice! I have never smoked. I drink a glass of red wine every day (Doctor’s suggestion). Food still has a hold over me, but new drugs are becoming available like Ozempic® and Wegovy (semaglutide) injections for chronic weight management.
A belated Happy Birthday to the CEO of Kelley Consulting!
I hope you had a wonderful day. I’m sure Diane continued to give you the attention you deserve.
Beth, Diane took me to a swanky restaurant where I had a delicious NY Strip steak and Diane had Filet Magon. Salads, of course, and for dessert we shared a slice of Belgium Chocolate Cake that was the size of Belgium! I had a wonderful Birthday and appreciated all the Good Wishes that came my way!
Good to hear that you had a wonderful day (including the family) and you enjoyed the meal.
What your lovely wife had was probably a “Filet Mignon” as we call it in Europe?
Happy Birthday indeed, George. And many more.
Patti, thanks for the well wishes! I hope to be around for another decade.
Happy Birthday George. Hope you have many more.
Steve, my health is good and I’m sleeping better with my new Philips Dreamwear CPAP mask so things are looking good!
Happy Birthday, George! I’m sure you received some very nice gifts and have plans for a wonderful dinner later. Have a great day!

Happy Birthday! My brother in law’s 60th was yesterday. As Dave Barry would say, celebrate responsibly. Hope there are birthday goodies in the offing.
Jeff, there are rumors that an Ultimate Chocolate Cake may arrive later today. And then there’s the swanky restaurant…
Have a great birthday, George. I can remember when I was just 72. Those were the good old days.
Michael, I may be 72 but I often feel like I’m 12. Diane says I’m as mischievous as a little kid!

George, at my age, even Moses is a young whippersnapper!
Jerry, some people say that Age is just a number!

Rick, all I want for my Birthday is Love & Affection!

Carl, thanks for your enthusiastic well wishes! I intend on Having In There…

Bob, I’m a big believer in Quality of Life. That’s a big factor in my estimate of longevity!
Happy Birthday, George! Hope you’re having a great day.
