But Clumbus Day?
Especially since the image of Columbus isn’t so good here, renaming of places, removing his statues …
After all the things he did on his travels.
When I was younger we weren’t told about this.
Wegman’s supermarkets buys an Italian frozen pizza they sell as their store brand (in green boxes) which makes for a decent-enough one-person pizza. Or two…they also used to bake a decent pizza on site, but sine their meat pizzas were apparently undercooked, so they started burning even their cheese and veg pizzas.
As I mentioned in my blog, it’s also International Beer and Pizza Day. I wonder which one I’ll be celebrating?

Wolf, some refer to this day as Indigenous Peoples’ Day instead of Columbus Day for the reasons you alluded to.

Todd, I prefer Wegman’s submarine sandwiches to their pizzas. They are excellent!
Like but don’t love their veg sub options…omnivorous Alice shares your opinion. Pre-burning them, the pizzas were good.
My Cherokee and Italian lines come via my mother, so I don’t get Very excited about the day.
