Our usual Easter repast is on the menu: lamb, marinated overnight in yogurt, lemons, and onions, studded with chunks of garlic and grilled slowly over a bed of fresh mint and rosemary; mashed potatoes; Yorkshire pudding; creamed spinach; and gravy. Victoria and I made tiramisu from scratch yesterday (the ladyfingers weren’t the most aesthetically pleasing I’ve ever seen, but they tasted good and as they’re now buried beneath layers of creamy filling, we’ll say they were a success) and we’ll sprinkle the top with cocoa powder before serving for dessert. Yum!
Deb, it sounds like you out-did yourself with that menu! Sounds delicious! We’re having the traditional Easter ham, with Polish sausage and Pierogis, green beens, apple sauce, and a variety of salads. Dessert includes lemon meringue pie, chocolate cream pie, and various flavors of ice cream.
Happy Easter to all of you!
Today we had leftovers …
Tomorrow my wife’s son and family from Budapest will come for lunch – we’ll have a duck.
And granddaughter will have to look for the Easter Eggs …
Of course my wife and the granddaughter who spent the last days with us so the parents could work also cooked coloured two dozen eggs – some go to our neighbours.
And here’s a special Hungarian Easter custom for tomorrow:
Men are allowed to drench women with a bucket of water – at least that happened in the villages some time ago.
Now they just sprinkle them with some perfume. My wife prefers the “Light Blue” by Dolce&Gabbana.
Happy Easter to you all! Hope you have a wonderful day. It was a beautiful sunrise here, and we splurged and had waffles for breakfast. Nothing special for dinner, though. We’ve got clear and low 60s today. When did you move to Ohio, George?
Rick, Diane decided that since we had both been vaccinated, we could take a Road Trip. Diane hadn’t seen her sister (also vaccinated) in person in over a year so we hit the Road. Most of the people we’ve seen in Ohio are wearing masks and Social Distancing. Happy Easter to you and Barbara!
Diane is still looking fine!
Jerry, I love Diane’s bunny ears!
Have a nice day, George and Diane. (And Patrick and Katie)
Patti, Happy Easter to you and your family, too! Diane and I plan to Facebook PORTAL with Patrick and Katie later today.
Around here, we’re getting Sunshine and 70o. Hope yours is equally as nice as well also too.
Dan, Easter in North Canton, Ohio is sunny and 60 degrees (so far). Very pleasant!

Jackie said she will take Deb’s lamb and Yorkshire pudding and your desserts.
I’m going to dinner at Deb’s house…I wish. Sounds yummy. We’re having leftover pizza and a Caesar salad. What can you do?
Jeff, Katie is baking some cakes today. I don’t know what Patrick’s plans are yet.
Happy Easter to all. I’m with Jeff, wanting to go to Deb’s house. Wish she could do takeout half way across the country.
Maggie, Deb is a Master Chef! Too bad we didn’t have teleporters to New Orleans!
Happy Easter to all of you!

Wolf, Patrick and Katie used to dye eggs at Easter Time. Then, we’d have an Easter Egg hunt! Happy Easter to you and your family!

Wolf, there’s a Polish holiday called Dingus Day where women squirt men with squirt guns and hit them with pussy willows.

Rick, so far so good!
My urinary tract infection came back! Happy damn Easter!
Bob, you need to drink more water!
