Same to you and Diane, George. We’re making our first foray into the city in a long time today. I’m hoping Jackie’s knee doesn’t give her grief. Since the cortisone shot last week it’s been much better. Three weeks from tomorrow is the day of the surgery.
Same to you, George, Dianne and family. We had our “Easter Dinner” last night (ham, etc.) and since this is a no candy zone, that was it. Beautiful sunrise this morning.
We’re going to get some rain this afternoon, Rick. But the temps have moderated (no more waking up to a snow covered lawn). Enjoy your Easter and those NCAA Men’s Basketball games!
Found the greatest thing for Easter! At the gas station they sell these mini-cigarette lighters, just a couple inches long, made of brightly colored plastic, they fit right into those plastic eggs and are not childproof–what little kid doesn’t love playing with a cigarette lighter?
I remember when you could get a tiny cigarette lighter from a gumball machine if you were lucky. I never did, but got a ton of charms. Sometimes one penny would net several charms and several gumballs at once. Ahh, the good old days were good.

Happy Easter to you and Jackie! All the exercise Jackie can get in before the surgery will pay dividends in Recovery!

LATER:
Some of the adults at the Easter Egg Hunt seemed to feel the lighters were inappropriate.
Dan, most of the kids I know would rather text or play Angry Birds than fiddle with a cigarette lighter.

Bob, like you, I had no luck with those “prize” gumball machines. They’ve disappeared from Western NY.
