Jeff, I remember watching Yankee games with my father. Instead of the Seventh Inning Stretcher, he’d take a Power Nap and wake up for the Ninth Inning.
Happy Father’s Day, George and all the other fathers & step-fathers & fathers-in-law & father-figures out there! The family will gather this afternoon for a delicious meal of tomahawk steaks (fish for our non-meat eater), vegetable kabobs, baked potatoes, pasta salad, and chocolate fudge pie with ice cream.
I’m not in Facebook, but John & the girls shared a question going around on Facebook yesterday: what is the best piece of advice you ever received from your father? I’d have to go with, “The easiest lesson you can learn from is the one someone else had to experience.” Although, “The best swimming pool you can have belongs to someone else” ranks right up there. Dad, I miss you every day.
Deb, my father told me–and my brother and sisters–“It’s okay to make mistakes, but don’t make the same mistakes again and again.” He also told us, “Work is therapy.” My father was a hard worker and practiced kindness every day and his actions gave us a great role model to live by. I miss him every day, too. Happy Father’s Day to John!
Rick, thank you for your kind wishes! Father’s Day in Western NY is sunny and mild. Temps in the low 70s. But, of course, I’m inside in the A/C about to Facebook PORTAL with Patrick and Katie. Diane is busy preparing the pizza she’s making for us.
Happy Father’s Day, George!
My Father’s Day memory: giving my father chicken pox when I was a kid. Worst. Father’s. Day. Gift. EVER

Have a good day, George. I am sure you deserve to be pampered.
Patti, Diane’s going to make me a pizza for dinner! That’s what I call pampering!

I like that swimming pool advice. So true!
Sounds like a yummy meal. Happy Father’s Day, John.
Jeff, both John and Deb are incredible cooks!

Happy Father’s Day to you, George. Go wild!
(Since the pandemic, I guess I’ll also be celebrating Fatter’s Day.)
Deb, my father was not one for giving me advice. His actions spoke more than his words and I’ve tried to follow that “advice” my whole life.
Jerry, Happy Father’s Day to you, too! If eating pizza today qualifies as “wild” I’m all in!
Happy Father’s Day to you, George. Hope it’s a great day for you.

There was no need for my father to give me advice! I was perfect!
Bob, Happy Father’s Day Mr. Perfect!
Hope you all had a nice Father’s Day!
I visited my sister in Munich over the weekend – so no time for the internet.
Did miss you however …
Wolf, I enjoyed a great Father’s Day! Sounds like you did, too!
